I stayed here on a Tuesday evening and the hotel seemed full. The fire alarm for the entire hotel went off at 3am. The guests in the room across from me had called the front desk and asked what was going on and they were told “we don’t know”. We weren’t told to evacuate nor were we able to find anyone who worked at the hotel. We stood outside in the rain until the fire fighters told us we could return to our rooms. Having to wake up at 5am this was a crummy experience. I wish the hotel employees would’ve communicated with us, at all, to convey what was going on rather than leave us in the freezing rain clueless.

Dear Lauren,

On behalf of our team, please accept our apologies for the inconvenience you experienced. Unfortunately, when a fire alarm goes off, it needs to be handled as if there is a fire and guests should always evacuate. Better safe than sorry.
Even in the middle of the night. Ugh. It turned out to be an alarm triggered in our elevator and the cause needed to be investigated. The cause of this "false alarm" is still being investigated by our contracted alarm company. Our limited overnight staff must communicate with the fire department and guests at the same time which requires them to sometimes leave the phones unattended and questions unanswered until we are able to speak with the fire department to determine the status. With our lobby in a separate building, it would have been a better "waiting" area, and we are sorry there wasn't staff to give that direction to you this time. We are reviewing our nighttime procedures with staff in an effort to improve communication with our guests should an event like this occur in the future.

This was a rare occurrence, and we certainly hope you will return in the future so we may show you a much better stay experience. Thank you for your understanding, and again, please accept our apologies.

Sincerely,

Sue F.

Stayed here for early morning access to the Steadman Clinic in Vail Village next morning. This was the least expensive room on the west side of Vail Pass—you’d have to stay in Frisco/Dillon/Silverthorne to pay less. We were very pleasantly surprised at the spacious, clean, comfortable room. Do be aware that all rooms in Vail/Lionshead/Beaver Creek/Avon have significant resort fees and taxes, so be sure to verify the total price. This hotel is just off I-70 in Avon. Adequate on-site parking, which is a big plus in this area. Driving time to Vail Village is under 15 minutes. We left too early to try the free breakfast, so can’t review that.

Good beds and soft towels. Even the pool and hot tube wereopen although we didn’t use them. Adequate breakfast even if the scrambled eggs were rather flavorless. Popcorn was available by the desk which was a nice free snack when checked in. Walking distance to several restaurants and shops.

Pretty hotel with lots to offer. Staff is very helpful. Laundry done here for cheaper than any other hotel! 4 floors of rooms. Close to I70 and also close to several eateries. Pool in the middle and is clean. Come 6am, people in the hallway were very noisy and doors/walls didn't muffle too much. But I still like this hotel!

bathroom not clean, shower made loud hum noise, asked to move rooms. next tub was same, unclean. yuck. front desk girl was snotty when there was a mistake with getaroom.com and my reservation, front desk girl was rude. I asked for manager, but no manager or authoritative figure on site during weekend to resolve multiple problems. I wanted refund, they wouldn't give it to me. I have videos of unclean rooms. sick!! and breakfast was not kept up with busy traffic. everything was empty and was a mess. Had to wait for food, silverware, coffee pancake batter... it was a terrible experience, plus construction outside..

Room tip: Dont stay here
