You don’t expect quality of this magnitude in a mountain town restaurant, but vin 48 delivers at every level.
Wine list is outstanding and they actually serve wine in the correct stemware for each varietal.
Small plate standout was the carbonara.
Short ribs were quite good but some of the components seemed out of place
Beet salad is a bit small and really should have either more beets or some leafy greens.
Seafood and tenderloin cooked to perfection and plates as elegantly as you could expect.
Reserve bourbon cocktail with egg white was quite good. Not too sweet.
Service was exceptional. A bit loud with a full crowd but that’s to be expected.
If you have a big appetite then a small and large plate is satisfying.
Two small plates hit the spot after having a late lunch.
