We stopped here on the off chance of a night to eat out. It started with a lovely greeting such a pleasant front of house this young lady was. The specials board had me in such a quandary, what should I have. Everything on there I wanted to try. I settled for Whitebait to start, what a large portion this was - no complaints there though. Then went for the Durage (never heard of it or have I mis-spelt that?) It was recommended by the waitress and it didn't fail to impress. Served with crushed new potatoes and spinach, they had run out of samphire, with a lemon butter sauce. My husband had the plaice and was again, very impressed. Chef was away on a short break, so his 2nd chef was there ensuring his standards were met. We were so impressed that we are going again tomorrow – chef will be back so he has something to live up to. Highly recommended.
