We visited for a long weekend with our two year old daughter and had really lovely stay. The cottage is obviously very new and it is much bigger than the pictures give justice two. Two large bedrooms and very large open plan kitchen dining lounge leading to patio and nice sized back garden. The cottage was spotlessly clean. The hot tub is a nice addition and it has a wooden gazebo cover which with the Lancashire weather in March was welcomed. The cottage is a lovely spot with short walk down to Ribchester and just across the road to the great, quirky Stydd Gardens. If you like running, walking or cycling you’ll enjoy the location. The walk down the river to Dinkley Bridge is stunning or run up the hill to New Drop Inn and beyond. We recommend the afternoon tea at Stydd Cafe (amazing) and The Potters Barn was superb for home cooked food. The cottage is really well equipped though we’d have liked a couple of small additions - salt, pepper, sugar and perhaps a box of tissues. Also the two ensuites don’t benefit from the underfloor heating and were a bit chilly! But very minor grumbles really don’t detract from a superb cottage.
Having made a last minute booking, we were presently surprised withe the outstanding quality of the cottage. Fully fitted kitchen, Super Kingsize bed and two singles. And to top it all a hot tub in the garden. Then having read the visitor book we are the second people to stay here. We will definitely be coming back. Might even book one of the bigger cottages and bring the rest of the family.
