Friends who knew the area took me here. It was a long and very dangerous drive to this tiny lodge where we met up with a guide. Not touristy AT ALL. We didn't see a single person around, not a single car on the road there. This place is truly a hidden wonder. The guide at the lodge seemed surprised to see us but was happy to bring us out to the trail. He took us down a LONG, steep, and truly treacherous path to find these little pueblos/ cave systems carved into the edge of the cliff. They are not roped off, you can go inside and explore them. We went through them and came out on the other side of the cliff. Truly amazing. These have been here for hundreds of years and are in perfect condition. Probably because no on ever visits! It's so dangerous to get there! Was definitely the most difficult hike I've ever done. Don't go without a guide. So worth it if you're in Chihuahua.
