Leticia and her cousin are from Lebanon! They bring with them the true Lebanese hospitality and delicious foods. Everything is made fresh and so flavorful. I know you don't come to SMA for hummus and babaganoush, but you can't go home without eating at Fenicia. Try the mint lemonade. authentic, fresh, delicious and welcoming! This is a must try!

I was surprised to discover this gem serving excellent Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food. I enjoyed several dishes from their extensive and varied menu. I highly recommend this restaurant at any time but especially if you'd like a break from the fabulous Mexican food offered in the city.

Maybe the best middle Eastern mezze plate I've eaten. The falafels are crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, the bababghanoush has a rich smoky flavor, the hummus is well seasoned and creamy and tabbouleh outstanding . So many tabboulehs are way heavy on the parsley but the tabbouleh at Fenicia is the perfect mix of parsley, tomatoes, mint, onion, bulgur, olive oil, lemon juice and salt and pepper. Oh Yum. I was, however, disappointed in the falafel wrap as it was on the dry side.

They also make a delicious fresh mint lemonade not to be missed.

Nestled in the heart of downtown San Miguel de Allende is a charming Middle Eastern restaurant. Family-owned by Lebanese cousins Nancy and Leticia, the food is prepared with care and is consistently good.

I have tried most dishes but the chicken shawarma and baba ghanouj (smoky eggplant dip) are my favorites. The lamb kabob is spiced just right, too.

To get the flavor of the place, try the sampler plate with hummus, baba ghanouj, falafel, and tabbouleh.

If you have a taste for beer, Fenicia serves typical Mexican brands as well as Stella Artois and a popular craft beer called Cu Capa. Of course they have soft drinks, wine, and the house specialty, mint lemonade.

No visit is complete without baklava, a flaky dessert drenched with honey and walnuts.
