This was a event that my daughter and Miss Latino America was invited to this past February 2016. This was my first trip inland in Mexico and I was totally surprised. I had as well as my family a great time. The hotel was clean and modern, the food inside the hotel also was good. Didn't really spend much time at the hotel because of the event, but for the time we did spend there, was very comfortable and would recommend this to my friends.

This was a very clean and secure hotel on the main drag in Guaymas. We felt perfectly safe walking through the neighborhood at night. Breakfast is included in the price and it was eggs of your choice, fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee. YAY! This hotel is not close to any beaches, but it's a great place to stop on your way north or south.

Room Tip: There are rooms around the pool that are more expensive and noisier. But we prefer the rooms in the back that are quieter.

We took a 3 day 2 night stay package with 4 breakfast buffets. Beautiful hotel now that it is remodeled inside and out, the swimming pool area looks fabulous. Personnel very educated, trained and we'll mannered going the extra mile. One thing they need to do is get an elevator and handicapped rooms. Recommended to family and friends. Will come back.

The Hotel itself was OK for the price, but the facilities were not
the problem.
My reservation was made through Tripadvisor and my two night
stay was prepaid through Tripadvisor's automatic connection to
Cancelon once you click "book this room".
I prepaid by credit card and received my receipt from Cancelon
for my prepaid two night stay.
The stay at the Hotel was uneventful and my only complaint with
the hotel would be noise at all hours.
The shocker came when I went to check out. The staff at checkout
demanded that I pay for my two night stay because they said they
received no money from Cancelon.
They demanded payment or else (else means calling Mexican police).
So I was forced to pay again and used the same credit card. I am now
trying to get reimbursed by Cancelon for being double charged for my
two night stay.

My advise to any traveler is to deal directly with an international hotel
chain only and book your rooms directly with the hotel that you plan to
stay at.
At least with an international hotel chain they are normally reputable.
I will never use Tripadvisor again for reservations and also never
prepay for a room.

Be very careful about staying at Hotel Armida or you may just be
charged twice for your room.

There is a Holiday Inn Express in Guaymas and I should have
stayed there.

Room Tip: Don't prepay, only pay when ready to leave.
