Booked an accessible room as a wheelchair/mobility scooter user and adviced them of this upon booking some 2 months prior.
I was given room n1 on the ground floor the door of which is right next to the door to the reception meaning it was very tricky manoeuvring on a tight corner while dealing with two doors at the same time.
The room was spacious, but the mattress was really hard, so I didn't have a great night and woke up with a sore back. The bathroom was spacious however the toilet only had one grab rail. The shower/wet room lacked a seat so as it was evening and ready to take a shower before bed I called reception asking for one and they said they would bring me one. Gone 45min no sight of anyone called them again to be told it was on its way. Called a third time 15 minutes later and finally, they said it was ready to be collected.
Having to chase 3 times for 1 hour was poor customer service.
I also went to the restaurant and the menu was a mix of many different cuisines, sadly as the old saying goes ‘Jack of all trades, master of none’ the food was bland, very bad I stress very poor quality and expensive for what it was. After reading other reviews after my visit, I noticed that their food was awful. Last but not least, upon entering the restaurant, the first table on the left was empty and looked like a war zone with paper strewn across the floor, we had to walk around it. The restaurant was not busy and as that is the first thing a guest sees upon entering the restaurant I feel it should have been cleaned promptly.
If I travelled in the area again I wouldn’t book again.
