If you are thinking of booking at Cabo Villas, DON'T! This hotel is a sham. What you are offered online is not what you get. Their "packages" are a tourist trap. Once you book with them, you can't cancel without paying a penalty. What they offer you is not what your confirmation receipt shows. Their management is horrible. They will not even provide you with an invoice when you check out. They also bill your credit card extra charges. Do not fall for the pretty pictures. There is construction, noice and dust everywhere. Not worth it. There are much nicer and less expensive places to stay in Los Cabos. The entire focus of this hotel is to try to get you to buy a time share. This hotel is horrible!!!!!

Room Tip: If you go with the cheaper rooms, you will be near the construction.

Thank you for the feedback regarding your recent stay at our Hotel. We value hearing about the items we do well, as well as the areas we can improve.
Our Front Desk Manager informed us that the extra charges correspond to the Mini Bar as well as the One Dollar a Day Campaign, which our Concierge explained at the moment of your check in at our Resort.
This Campaign helps support the pediatric oncology, cardiology and intensive care programs of Salvatierra General Hospital in La Paz,
which are truly making an impact and improving the quality of life of the children in B.C.S.

As you briefly mentioned, the resort is in the process of renovation. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we thank you for your patience as we improve our services.

Upon arrival we had to see three different people before finally being allowed to go to our room. It was a nice 1 bedroom, however, no chairs, bar stools, nice hide a bed, comfortable bed. Small refrigerator, with a couple of stove burners, pots, pans, plates, glass ware, two TVs, nice balcony. They charge for WIfi, missed that in the documentation I received. The people were wonderful, always attempting to help in any way they can. Except, in bargaining for a taxi, the cost changes, it appears that the taxi driver is more important than the "guest". Good restaurants, one more costly, and sometimes the language is a problem. We asked for water and they brought a $5 bottle of water instead of simple tap water which I did not understand until the bill. The beach was so nice with reservations for cabanas, and there is a beautiful pool too. Again, people were very nice and supportive. We attended a meeting for a "Travel Program". It seemed good but it is hard to know. Right after the extended meeting, we found ourselves moved to another location, and then we were in another sales meeting, we had to almost yell at the sales person and just got up and left. The hotel bill had charges for a charity and broken glass (that was there when we arrived) that we had removed. There was some noise during the day as construction was going on, but not bad. A lot of good things but a few issues, especially with processes caused the rating to be what it is.

Cabo Villas is a great resort, the staff was friendly and professional. We also were fortunate to have experienced excellent service from Juan and Juan Carlos (Bar tending and serving). Jazzy the concierge also sent some fruit and Champagne for our birthdays in September.

I would have given a better rating, however when i requested a Spanish song at pool side, the song started but was abruptly stopped and i was approached by the manager on duty stating that the song did not meet their standards and or policy. When i asked about their policy the manager could not give me details but repeated the same statement.

My thought is this, if you are going to give preference to a specific clientele then perhaps you should mention that during your sales pitch when you are selling vacation rentals and or ownership's.

Room Tip: You need to be VERY specific when booking.

Location was great however, the resort accommodation once I got there was graded by if you are owner there or exchanging. Did not appreciate the room location. Some of the workers were rude with responses to questions.

Cabo villas is a great place to stay while in Cabo convenient to a lot of the local businesses staff is amazing if it we're not for the cold water in our shower it would get 5star from me, Juan and Juan Carlos are the best no wonder guest look for them (sorry Juan Carlos not pictured was busy in the restaurant) this is Juan with my wife and I.
