Owner description: Buccaneer Queen, a boat, a legend, is a pirate ship built in 1968, is the one and only theme boat sailing around the Los Cabos Bay Area. Go pass the famous Cabo San Lucas Arch, Lovers Beach, visit Chileno Bay and the coral reefs, fall in love with the marvelous sunset at the Pacific Ocean. With 4 different daily tours, we provide a real pirate experience in every inch of this spectacular 96 foot long wooden ship. Shortly before leaving the dock your crew will give a short presentation to familiarize you with the area that we will be traveling to and the whale species we are likely to encounter. Then it's time to cast off the morning lines and get underway. As we make our way through the harbor your naturalist will point out the historic buildings and landmarks of Cabo and tell some of talk of some of the maritime lore surrounding this world famous seaport.

From the moment you step on to the Buccaneer Queen, you will know you have stepped back in time. The seating on this ship is not for the faint hearted, but for Pirates, argh! The photographer will take your picture right away and don you with pirate, hats, swords and weapons. GIve it your all when you say Argh. Great Pics thanks so much.
The Captain and the crew to work hard to make sure from 2-92 you are having fun. Contests will make you laugh, and the participants be so embarassed, what a hoot. Not to mention the crazy pirate show. Oh my goodness, it is filled with humor, sword fighting, and of course no comedy would be complete with out Cheeeeziness....The food is light and filling. Adult drinks as well as Cokes available. This was fun. The music was great, service was great. We were all dancing even up the boardwalk. And Oh My Goodness, they nearly made a lady walk the plank. Thanks So Much we had so much fun.

This was our third trip on the Buccaneer Queen & we've never been disappointed.

Our most recent trip (Dec 2011) was the afternoon snorkelling trip. We went with our boys and also some friends & their boys. The pirates were great with the kids and entertained them with sword fights, silly dances etc. The snorkelling was supposedly ok but those from our group that did venture into the water said the snorkelling is actually better over by Pelican Rock (by Lover's Beach). The overall atmosphere is worth the adventure though. As mentioned before, lunch is a simple fare of hot dogs and fruit salad but it was actually quite tasty! Drinks are available the entire trip. The boat only had a few families & couples on it so was nice to have some room to move, interact etc.

Our first two trips were on the sunset cruise, both times with our kids. While the kids just saw it as an outing on a pirate ship and were young enough to be oblivious to the booze and adult jokes, I would agree with the person that said it isn't as suitable for kids. My one complaint would be that the second time we went on the sunset cruise (Feb 2011) it was so crowded we were crammed in like sardines and then when it was snack time and some of the seating became the table, we were really squished. Our late Nov/early Dec trips have been less busy.

All in all, it is a fun excursion & who doesn't enjoy a couple hours on a pirate ship! These guys know how to take care of you and are worth a tip at the end. If you aren't looking for fun or have high expectations, then go on one of the calmer catamaran tours.

We went on an afternoon tour and it was alot of fun. Our son is 4 and a good swimmer so we went our second week on vacation so we could get him ready to snorkle in the hotel pool. When we got to the spot where we were to snorkle, the sea was a bit wavey but not too bad. One by one folks jumped off the side of the boat. My husband went first, then little Alec stood on the edge. The pirate said 1-2-3 jump and off he went over the edge. My turn. OMG this is HIGH -- like 8-10 feet easily above the water! Off I went and it was fine and fun, but wow! I would definitely recommend this for families- just search first for discount coupons ahead of time.

Sailed on 11/21/2011, their first sailing of the season. The kids had a great time, there was plenty of food and drink, the pirates were excellent hosts and very entertaining.
