Visited Tuesday April 3, my wife does not eat beef.. But I like a great steak. Could not tell whether they had alternatives.. apparently not, unless you like chicken nuggets. I/we enquired whether she had any say.. fish or? Was rudely advised that it was a steak house AND that we might find something cheaper with a more varied offering elsewhere. WOW! We left in amazement, stunned to be quite honest. Bottom line, I'm sure the MEAT is good just don't bother if ur looking for alternative offerings. Opens at 5pm.

The restaurant is on the side street that you turn down to the left as you drive up to the plaza after going through the main street through San Jose. This may be why it is not more crowded. However, when you look through the window and see that it is empty, walk in and go straight ahead to the backyard. There you will find some lucky diners who heeded the good reviews on this site. They grill wonderful steak but they also have many non steak items. One meal we had 1/2 portions of their version of Queso Fundito (melted cheese and chorizo), sweetbreads, and ribs for a delicious and inexpensive meal. Another evening, we had the tomohawk steak. We rarely indulge in steak but this was worth it. Really, delicious. Also had their lemon pie and loved that. There is a deal for the steak, two sides and a bottle of wine. The owner will explain the different wines and make recommendations. Go and enjoy,

This steakhouse is a little hidden gem in San Jose del Cabo. It’s set right a neighborhood in town. Don’t let the plastic tables fool you. The quality of cuts and service is as good as you’ll find anywhere. We were shown the actual cus of meat we were choosing from before ordering. We ordered the Tomahawk Prime Steak for two (bone in 2.2 lb ribeye) with a bottle of wine and two sides, which was a special. With one post drink the bill came out to $84. Unbelievable price for the quality of food purchased. The steak was cooked perfectly, to a well seared rare, veggies were good, I got the cheese covered portabello which was great. The owner stopped by and chatted with us for a few minutes. Very homey feel with incredible steaks and great wine selection. Will come again.

8 of our group read the trip advisor reviews and decided to give this restaurant a try. Very disappointing: the steaks were tough and the ribs were dry. We all live in San Jose Del Cabo 4-5 months per year and have eaten in most of the local restaurants. 7 of the 8 of us were disappointed with our meals. The service was also very slow. We normally would never write such a negative review but this place earned the rating we gave it. Hopefully things will get better?

What a great find! What a great experience! The owner Ulysses made this much more than just a meal. It was a highlight of our entire trip. If you enjoy wine this is a must visit. His knowledge of wine and his directing us to the correct one was an art. We, the parents, ordered steaks, and as great as the steaks were ... and they were great ... the burgers that our kids had were perfection. But truly the highlight of the night was beginning a friendship with Ulysses, the owner. We will make this an annual visit every time we come back to Cabo. Don’t miss out!
