“Second Stay this Year”
Reviewed November 14, 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Returned to stay for another all too short week at this ideally located cottage in Rosemarkie. We were here last Jsnuary ( 2015). Rosemarkie has one of the cleanest stunning beaches in Scotland, and we made full use of it daily walking with our Irish Terrier again!

The cottage remains fresh and welcoming, everything you could need is provided. Unlimited hot water, central heating when and as you require.

Rosemarkie has a micro climate which seems to always defy Scotlsnd's inclement weather most days you will manage to defy poor weather which would be otherwise affecting much of The area.

Car parking is on a public car park behind the cottage although you csn tenporarilly psrk on the roadside unloading/loading your car before parking it about 150 metres away. Bear that in mind.

Bedrooms - a twin and a double and one of the two bathrooms are upstairs, you have two living rooms as well as a well fitted kitchen and dining area off that in the conservstory which looks out onto the small enclosed garden to the rear of the property.

“Relaxing stay in superb accomodation”

Rowan Cottage once again offered a perfect setting for our stay on the Black Isle. With its easy parking, superbly equipped kitchen and relaxing lounges (yes, two !) it was a welcome rest place after spending the days watching dolphins or other wildlife. The conservatory is also a great place to enjoy an evening meal whilst watching the visiting birds in the garden and red kites making the occasional overhead pass. Always clean and tidy, this was our 3rd visit to the cottage and I am sure we will be staying there again.

This is a lovely cottage. It is well equipped, very comfortable and lovely and clean. I would definitely consider renting this property again and would happily recommend it to friends and family.

“Extremely comfortable cottage”
Reviewed June 28, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We've just had a week staying at Rowan Cottage, which is deceptively spacious, beautifully furnished and kitted out and spotlessly clean. Our midsummer week was notable for days of grey, wet and windy weather so we were glad to have such a cosy and comfortable base. The bright conservatory overlooks an idyllic little garden, the kitchen has everything you could possibly need, and the bedrooms are bright and pretty. A lovely place from which to explore the Black Isle. We recommend the dolphin watching boat trip from Avoch, walks from the house along the beach in both directions and the Fairy Glen. Also Crofters Bistro, the museum and the Cromarty Bakery. We'd love to stay here again sometime.

This is a great place with a well kitted out kitchen and very comfortable furnishings. I stayed here with my 79 year old mum who is not very fit at the moment. She was very comfortable and enjoyed her stay too. The garden is lovely. A great base to see Rosemarkie and the surrounding area.
