This hotel is in the downtown area and so nearly everything you might want to see or do is within walking distance. The rooms are decent with comfortable mattresses and a nice desk for writing or laptop use. Bathrooms have good lighting and instant hot water. And all this for a very modest price.

The only problem I had was with a very complicated TV remote. When I checked in the room boy showed me the procedure to turn on the TV and the cable box. I didn't bother to turn on the TV that first day but the next day had some free time and attempted it without success. I went to the desk and asked for help and another room boy accompanied me to my room. He then proceeded to teach me another way to turn on the cable and TV, and doing so in a very insulting manner, as if I were an idiot.

If you ar looking just for a place to spend the night it is ok nut the hotel is too old, inclusive it smells old, very basic.

Probably the good thing is that is cose to downtown but not too much ti be noisy.

Stay or a need not for pleasure.

It's not expensive. It is nice and clean. It's near from touristic places but if you arrive by car it's not the best place. They don't have parking inside. Employees park your car some blocks away and you have to sign a ticket that says "No nos hacemos responsables por objetos perdidos o golpes en su carro" I was very uncomfortable after signing that. Somebody could crash or steal parts of your car and the hotel wouldn't be responsable.

Room Tip: Near downtown

Convenient location, a few steps away from the cathedral and right on the historic district. Rooms are not very big and modestly furnished. Beds are ok.

Price is fairly low but it kinda reflects on service which is a bit slow at the best. Bottled water is for free, towels and sheets seem a bit old, but still they're clean. other small amenities such as soap, shampoo and body lotion are dead awful and can't be really used.

Restaurant is small an food is not too expensive but terrible . Had breakfast once and never more.

Parking lot is some 3 blocks away, and you have to rely on valet parking service to park it and retreive it, which can take a really long time.

All and all, the hotel is quiet, it is within walking range from interesting sites and it's cheap so if all you need is a place to crash at night, you'll survive and and save some money.

Small hotel, conveniently located near the historic district so i didnt have to use my car. Rooms were small and the beds were medium hard. bathrooms were tiny. showers worked and it did have hot water. my first room faced the interior atrium and it was warm so I ask for another and got transfer to a room with a street view, which had a magnificent view of the city. The A/C did not work which was not too much concern since the evening temperatures dropped into the mid fifties in late July. Ask for an exterior, 2nd floor and above room facing the street - best rooms.
I did not use the restaurant because it opened too late for me (I like to rise early) and I like to eat at gordita/taco stands anyway. (go down the street to Cafe Birreria and have their breakfast tacos and coffee)
To me all rooms are alike once you are asleep. I only care if I can get comfortable to fall and stay asleep and this hotel accomplished that. But then again I am comfortable sleeping on a petatl. (ask an old Mexican what that is).

Room Tip: get an exterior, above grade room. that way you can leave the windows open and have nice ventilation. it may get noisy at night with some traffic but it beats the warmness and lack of ventilation of the interior rooms that face the atrium.
