The food on the buffet was good( very Mexican). We traveled through Apple vacations so most all the food and drinks were included in the price. Very private beach, large waves. Lots of steps to go every where.

Our first time here and despite some of the reviews for the most part couldn’t be faulted. The rooms are spacious air con works well and bed very comfortable . Views from the balcony are spectacular private beach excellent and the lifts to all floors and to the beach are fine. Good buffet breakfast sea food restaurant good and room service most efficient. We paid for room only, which we prefer as the town is close and Zihuatanejo is only 160 pesos, with loads of great places to eat.
All of the staff were most attentive both in the rooms at reception and in the bars and restaurants. Excellent value and a place we will revisit as soon as we can.

I had the flu when we arrived, then my husband got it two days later but despite this we had a good time and the staff was amazing. I asked the housekeeping staff where I could get medical attention/medication she gave me great advice. We went down to get a taxi and explained to the guys at curbside what we needed. They got us a cab and explained to the driver what we needed. The driver took us to the pharmacy and waited for us. We were seen by a "Dr." who prescribed us some RX and we were feeling better by the next evening. The restaurants were all excellent all the staff we encountered were fantastic. Everything was clean and tidy despite the obvious age of the hotel. We usually don't ask for our room to be serviced for a week or less stay and simply ask for fresh towels/garbage removal every few days but since we were so sick in bed a few days I asked housekeeping to please change our sheets etc.. I also told her to please wear gloves because I didn't want her to get sick. She was so sweet and checked on us often until we were better. Will definitely go back because I feel cheated at missing a few great days of fun n sun but also because it's a fantastic place.

Room came with a balcony that was private. Worked well with hot tube which was placed near end of the balcony. Air Conditioning in the room also worked well. We spent most of the day either at the adult pool or on their private beach - Bonus!

Room tip: We did an upgrade to the 22nd floor with a balcony hot tube.

Great location, all rooms with ocean view. Fantastic sunsets! Although an older construction the hotel is kept in good shape. The rooms are big and comfortable. All rooms have a nice terrace with an even nicer hammock. The main hotel restaurant serves a good breakfast buffet, but it lacks air conditioning (can be extremely hot in summer). Upon arrival we could still see some whales playing of shore. The beach is only used by the hotel thus no salesmen disturbing. Swimming in the sea needs to be done with great care as the waves can be quite high.
