We stayed at Hotel Mocambo for 4 nights and were thoroughly charmed but it's 'faded glory' vibe. If you love wood, unique architecture and historic photos, this is the place for you. (Note: If you are looking for modern perfection, you will be disappointed.)
We booked a balcony room but were upgraded to a suite. The furnishings weren't luxurious but the room and balcony were huge. Very comfortable king size bed. (Note: the room we were originally assigned was also very large and comfortable.)
The sprawling grounds are terraced with lovely plants and flowers. The outdoor pool is huge! The building housing the 2 indoor pools was spectacular.
Consistently friendly and helpful.
Delicious breakfast and coffee included in the price of the room. We loved to eat on the spacious terrace outside the restaurant.
We hope to return to this hotel and share the experience with our family.More
