My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay at Taheima. The staff was very nice, the food was excellent and our room (with heated plunge pool) was beautiful. Just like all of the recent reviews spell out, Taheima is a slice of luxury.

Things we liked:
- Our package included daily 50 minute massages which were fantastic
- The large pool is HEATED to a perfect temperature. January cools down quite a bit at night, chilling most pools. But the pool was spectacular to step into
- Very friendly and helpful staff and waiters
- The food was gourmet fabulous
- Good mix of people: locals on vacation, North Americans and Europeans

Recommendations to make a great experience better:
- We've stayed at resorts about the same size that have many more activities each day. They had about 4-5 activities each day and the cooking-related classes weren't free. A wider ranger of activities (including some less serious than meditation -- like pool volleyball -- would bring some much needed life to the pool area
- Low volume music at the pool (chill, Latin or world music) to lighten the mood
- Better welcome introduction to services and amenities (for instance, we didn't realize until we were checking out that guests have access to a racquet club and we're still not sure if Taheima offers room service)
- More casual food options for the time between lunch and dinner. There is no pool bar as advertised and we found poolside service to be spotty.

We certainly enjoyed our stay, but wanted to supply a few (hopefully) helpful ideas on making a very wonderful experience even better.

We just returned from our wonderful vacation at Taheima Resort. What a relaxing beautiful place to visit. Our room was elegant simplicity. The food, decor, ambience, massages, service and wonderful people couldn't have been better. I look forward to returning when even more classes are available. We had the good fortune to spend New Year's Eve there, and the party was delightful.

Stayed at Taheima in November, 2010 with friends from Canada and the United States. We had a three bedroom three bathroom condo that more than met all our needs. Balconies galore and ample space for three couples to do their own thing or party. The beautiful pool area is just out the door and the beach is down the road about 15 minute leisurely walk over a small bridge revealing a gorgeous waterway for pleasure craft and luxury homes. It makes for a perfectly healthy walk to the beach, or the hotel will shuttle you to the beach club if you prefer.

The marked success this visit was the food. Without exception, each meal was a treat. A great selection of healthy choices and wonderful presentation. Service was very friendly, attentive, and the waiters showed a real desire to make your meal a pleasure, and have some fun. The menu is eclectic and adventuresome. The all-inclusive day choice is a bargain.

Our whole group was impressed with every aspect of this beautiful hidden gem.

We had the pleasure of staying at Taheima Wellness Resort & Spa for two
weeks in December. The perfect ambiance of the resort was matched by the consistently beautiful weather and their top-notch staff.

The resort concept is cutting edge with a wide variety of fitness classes,
spa services, learning center, and restaurants which offer delicious healthy
menu choices thanks to Chef Laurent.

We attended two cooking classes taught by Chef Laurent which were well worth
our time. His extensive knowledge and expertise were quite impressive. The
food prepared in the classes, as well as served in Taheima's restaurants, is
high quality, healthy, and very flavorful. We have been able to use many of
the suggestions from the cooking classes in our everyday meal preparations.

Yoga, Pilates, Thai Chi, Water Aerobics, and Zumba are just some of the
class offerings. The instructors are very knowledgable, easy to work (with
no matter what your level of experience), and made the classes very
enjoyable. There is also a large well equipped fitness center. The pools
are beautiful and treated with an ozone system so our skin felt great.

The atmosphere of the entire resort, including the gracious and very
attentive staff exudes a sense of relaxation, calmness, and serenity. There
is easy access to the beach within minutes.

The accommodations are very spacious and top-notch. We felt as if we were
staying in a home versus a hotel thanks to the staff and lovely finishes.
We actually slept better at Taheima than we do at home thanks to the comfy
beds. We have been visiting Nuevo Vallarta the last four years and already
have plans to return in February for another two weeks. We highly recommend
Taheima to anyone looking for a relaxing five-star resort for their next
vacation.

My wife and I have been to Taheima Resort three times in the last 18 months and are now planning another. Taheima is built on the 5th Fairway of EL Tigre golf Course and our room was on the ground floor facing the #5 green. I spent hours lying around our own personal lap pool watching golfer after golfer play thru.In the afternoons we would go the beach, have lunch and swim and lap up the sun. Every detail is taken care of by the best staff we have ever had in Mexico.
