We stopped here by chance on our first night in Banff and actually went back 2 days later. Our kids, who are usually picky eaters, loved it. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. It's also reasonably priced for Banff and they even have specials - I think Tuesday is Curry night and all curry dishes are $12.95, Wednesday you can get 15% off with your season pass.

We ventured into the Curry House on Tuesday, which happens to be curry night! All curries were 12.95! Three of us each ordered a different curry (butter chicken, amritsari chole, and lamb madras) with rice, coconut rice and naan ... dang it was good! We talked about this meal the rest of the week and would have gladly eaten here a 2nd time. If you're in Banff, visit Indian Curry House!

Items ordered: butter chicken (tasted fishy), beef vindaloo (requested spicy and received spicy), rice, garlic naan bread, and a beer. Total cost: Approx. $55.

Food was as expected except for the butter chicken which just tasted off.

Atmosphere sucked. There were two screaming kids there; it was just overall loud and unenjoyable. We ate quickly and asked for the bill.

Hey there, thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We do sympathize with the inconvenience of screaming children, unfortunately that is not something we can always control. We encourage communication between our customers and staff to arrive at a potential solution and ensure a better experience for all.

I am a huge fan of great Indian food. My local favorite, Masala is currently closed, so thought that I'd give the Indian Curry House a try. It was just not great, not even close. The best I can say was that it was edible. The samosas were doughy and just not flavorful. The main course was not great at all. The consensus around the table was that none of us would be back; and I was with a group of locals.

For all of you who have so highly rated this place: Have you tried Masala? Its around the corner on Wolf Street -- and much, much better.

Great curry. If you want it spicy, you will need to ask. Otherwise, they will have it mild (but flavorful), which was great for us and our children. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we found it difficult not to be loud talking about how delicious everything was. Recommend the Cabernet Sauvignon, not the Pinot Noir or Merlot, but you can try them all and choose what you think is best to go with your meal.
