We were on the 2nd floor. 14 steps up to the condo entrance and another 14 steps from the 1st to the 2nd floor of the condo. Bedrooms very small with no closets or mirrors. One closet in the hall to be shared by both bedrooms. 1st floor bathroom small with almost no room for personal items. 1st floor bathroom had dirty tissues under the sink. Very few pots, pans, and skillets in kitchen. Laundry facilites across the street, downstairs in the main building.

Reasonably priced and friendly staff. Beautiful area. Saw wildlife every day

The Banff Rocky Mountain Resort was the perfect place to stay on our honeymoon. The suite was large, clean and well-maintained. Staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

The best part of our stay here was the complementary shuttle to downtown Banff, which leaves every two hours from the resort entrance. We took advantage of this service many times and it made our travel to and from town very easy.

Since my last visit the resort has renovated the reception area and created a new restaurant on the main level. We did not use it, but it had reasonable prices and looked comfortable. Our ground floor unit was OK for our week stay, despite the tiny bedroom with less than a meter around the bed. The was a nice new TV and good cable service. The kitchen is poorly equiped, with minimal cheap pots and pans and utensiles. I do love the location, a mile out of the townsite, near Hwy 1. Very quiet.

I liked the fact that it is a few minutes out of downtown Banff as it is less busy and very quiet. I wouldn't recommend walking to town. The hotel does offer a free shuttle service. The property is old and it shows, which is a shame as it is truly a charming property. The rooms are a bit dark but clean and the beds are comfy. We had dinner at the restaurant which was reasonable and tasty with friendly service.

The staff in the resort were very helpful and welcoming and there was a courtesy shuttle to and from downtown Banff at various intervals during the day. When this wasn't around (or if you'd just missed it) a taxi into town wasn't particularly expensive. The location of the resort was very nice, with lots of lovely views.

The room itself was basic but was very clean and was comfortable enough. It's all just looking a little tired and in need of a facelift. The layout was also a bit odd - power sockets were tucked behind beds where they couldn't be reached easily and the alarm clock they provided (sitting on the bedside cabinet) wasn't plugged in - as there wasn't a power socket anywhere near it. Coffee making facilities were provided in room but to make tea involved running water through the coffee machine to heat it which always results in a slightly unpleasant coffee-flavoured tea.

We didn't eat an evening meal in the restaurant but the breakfasts were very nice and the waiting staff very attentive.

free wifi available - but was painfully slow.
