Exterior, and parking lot where a shame! Boarded over decking in front of building. No parking in designated parking areas. Horrible smell when entering our room, a mixture of bologna and dill pickles. Room was outdated and dirty, Bathroom was the size of a small closet, with a very stained bathtub. Other guested where very noisy and where smoking weed in the building, leaving a lingering smell. Bedding was from the 80's. To be honest I didn't even take my shoes off in the room, wouldn't even dare. The carpet was very old and gross! Very confusing lay out of buildings, very easy to get confused. Roof top hot tub access was very annoying, walking a mile, part of which is outside. Myself and guest checked out a day early and high tailed it out of there. Will not stay there ever again!

We stayed here this year on our banff stay with family and friends for the weekend. It's an ok place but could use updates. You can hear all hallway noise, rooms are not the cleanest plus they're outdated and the parking is annoying because for every 10 rooms they might have 4 parking stalls.....The staff is great and the shower is full pressure which is also great.....but this place won't be our first choice next visit.....not the worst place we've stayed, but it's definitely not a 'must stay' place in Banff.

This is a large property one of the older hotels ,but features a great outdoor
Hot tub.Our room was front facing and had a great view of the mountains,
always a bonus while in Banff. We had a double queen superior room ,it was
quite spacious with comfortable chairs to enjoy the view. Our beds were
comfortable and had nice linens.Staff was friendly and courteous. Parking
is free and some have covered stalls.

Room Tip: Ask for view suite with balcony for summer

Our room was in the 'C' section of the building one of the furthest buildings from the front desk. The room was right next to an exit door to the parking lot. The room was fairly clean but the ceiling had a very large poorly patched water damaged area that ran most the width of the room. The staff had large carts that ran loudly up and down the hallway. The building appears to be pet friendly as there was a large dog a few doors away that barked a lot. When we went out for supper and returned to our room there was nowhere to park near our room. We had been given a parking pass that was to be displayed on the dash. Many of the vehicles had no pass visable and the front desk staff did not appear to care even after we complained twice. My husband parked at the front by the lobby as all the parking was full. It rained and snowed overnight than froze. When we went to get our vehicle in the morning we had to pry our doors open and scrape inches of ice and snow off the vehicle. As we were scaping the vehicle a tour bus was trying to navigate it's way out of the parking lot. The bus was unable to go up the parking lot so it backed up and stayed behind our vehicle. I thought the bus would attempt to leave but the bus unloaded and the driver left. We were able to carefully navigate around the bus without sliding into the bus...it was very frustrating.

Room Tip: Do not stay at this place

Outdated hotel. Overall great experience. Clean and staff were very friendly. Loved the outdoor hot tub! However we found the hotel very confusing! Parking was a bit of a pain. Would stay again though. Loved it and would recommend to friends !
