This was our second time at the Tunnel Mountain Resort. Our room was very nice-king size bed and we liked the double sinks in the bathroom. The view from our room was beautiful. Also we find it to be quite reasonable. The location is a a fairly long walk in to town so we just drove in to town and parked there. We are seniors, so it was just a bit too far for us to walk. We would consider going back for sure. Dianne Easby

Room Tip: Main floor for sure, not lower level and make sure you have a view.

We recently stayed in a 1 bedroom suite at this property. Upon checking in we found stains on the bedding and the couch and the door to the suite wouldn't close properly! The decor is a little dated but that wasn't as big of deal as how noisy this place was. We were woken up every time someone opened a door because they all slam loudly. On the plus side the deep jetted soaker tub was great. Overall with so many great places to stay in the Banff and Canmore area I definitely won't be back!

We stayed in this hotel overnight and it was a pleasant surprise for us. First and foremost, the views and location were fabulous. All cottages seems to be spacious and most of them are double-storey houses or townhouses. Loved the terrace overlooking the Rockies. However, the furniture was dated and may need a replacement. I rate this resort as 2nd out of 9 hotels I visited during my AB-BC tour.

Room Tip: Make sure you are going to get a good view.

We stayed here for one night on our way to ski Sunshine and were very pleaseld with the executive room we had. It was large and comfortable and very clean. The room had both a fireplace and a shower that could be turned into a steam room. There are 2 hottubs on the property and the hot tub was clean and hot! Wonderful after a day of hiking or skiing. We felt sorry for the young man working the front desk as he was on his own and barely had time to take a breath. He did make the time later in the evening to call us and enquire as to whether we were happy with our accomodation... which we were. There was DVD player in the room and movies to borrow from the lobby which was also very nice. The lobby needs to be renovated though as it doesn't give the best initial impression.

We have been travelling to Tunnel Mountain Resort for over 3 years and love it. Their executive suites which are the basic room have a spacious counter/sink area, jacuzzi tub, new steam showers, fireplace with sitting area and a perfect size balcony. You are not just trapped in a tiny hotel room, you can actually settle in and feel at home. It is great when the weather is nicer and can use the community barbeques to make meals (they supply the tools). Nice to be a bit away from the main town area as well!!
