The rooms are self contained and roomy. Only negative is noise from room above. So get an upper room. All rooms are in the 2 level form.
The pool is heated with a perfect setting. Very friendly helpful staff.
Bikes available to take a ride.
Has a bus at entrance to take to downtown Banff so you don't have to drive or park when it's busy.
Flowers everywhere

jonesa342, thank you for the review on your stay at Hidden Ridge Resort. Every spring we get an abundance of flowers to put up throughout the resort and they have a great visual appeal. We're happy you enjoyed them enough to comment on them. We're glad to read you enjoyed all the facilities provided throughout the resort and the services we provide. We hope we are able to welcome you back on your future visits to the Banff area.

A quiet location, nice units with well stocked with crockery and cutlery, the room we had needed some repairs otherwise was clean and comfortable. The resort had plenty of parking including some undercover. The unit also had a lovely fireplace. Not too far from centre of town approximately 5/10 minute drive. Staff were very friendly, good for a holiday but in my opinion not so good for travellers who are only passing through as there was no breakfast available at the Resort.

Sukire, thank you for the time you took to review your stay at Hidden Ridge Resort. We're happy to read you enjoyed the facilities we provide in all the suites and throughout the resort. We do not have a restaurant, or breakfast in the lobby, here at Hidden Ridge Resort as all the suites have fully stocked kitchens for guests to prepare breakfast to their liking. We certainly hope we can welcome you back on your next trip to the Bow Valley.

These rooms have a full kitchen with plates, cups, pots, and pans. The common areas even have barbecue grills that you can use! Eating breakfast and dinner at the hotel will ultimately save you oodles of cash; yeah, I know you're on vacation and you don't want to cook, but eating out in Banff can be pricey and eventually lead to clogged arteries (poutine... case closed). Pick up your groceries at the IGA downtown; this place can be VERY busy, too, so be patient or go at an off-hour. There's a beer/liquor store on the same block, right behind the IGA too.

The actual rooms are adequate. I'd give this place a 5-star rating, but some details, comforts and conveniences were overlooked.

The pool and hot tub are heated; they're small, but not crowded. The views from the pool are spectacular. I do wish, however, that they'd ease up on their prohibition-era policies of alcohol at the pool. Seriously, if it's in a plastic cup or can, no big deal.

Despite being out of town, the location isn't that bad. The hotel has free bus passes for you to use, and I suggest you use them. Parking in downtown Banff is challenging after 10AM. The bus will take you through town and all the way to the sulfur mountain gondola. The front desk will give you a bus schedule, and the bus stop is on Tunnel Mountain Road, just outside the hotel driveway.

If I were just traveling as a couple, I'd probably stay at the Banff Fairmont. Hidden Ridge is REALLY good for families.

CCSconsin, we appreciate the time you took to review your stay at Hidden Ridge Resort. The BBQ facilities do allow you to save money and cook as healthy (or unhealthy) as you wish, it's completely up to you. The downtown area of Banff is very busy during the summer months. The hotels, restaurants, parking lots, and grocery stores are all teaming with people. We offer complimentary bus passes to ease the trip into the downtown core. Hidden Ridge offers the conveniences of the town because we're not far out of the downtown core, but you don't have the hustle and bustle of all the traffic and pedestrians. We do limit the drinks in the pool to only those we provide in the lobby, free of charge; coffee, tea, hot chocolate and water.
We have found this to be a successful approach in allowing all of our guests to relax in the pool while soaking in the stunning surroundings. We certainly hope to be able to welcome you and your family back on your future stays to the Banff area.

Peter C, thank you for your review of Hidden Ridge Resort. We're happy to read that you enjoyed your time with us. The hot tub allows you to soak and relax your muscles while enjoying the breathtaking views. Our BBQ areas are a feature many guests enjoy, and the staff gets hungry at times with the smell of freshly cooked grilled food. We certainly look forward to welcoming you back during the ski season.

Stayed here for 2 nights with another family. Comfortable with functional kitchen. Despite the resort being full and the units quite close to each other, surprised that the place was fairly quiet. Agree with other reviewers that the condo is a little dated but better than hotels we have stayed along Banff Avenue during peak season. The children enjoyed the wood fireplace. Highly recommend the outdoor pool/hot tub with a fantastic view of Mount Norquay in the morning especially since it was not busy at all. Appreciated having the washer and dryer as well. The resort offers free transit pass and bike rentals and is only 2.3 km to downtown Banff but is a moderate uphill hike from downtown.

Saskatoonmd, thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us at Hidden Ridge Resort. It's great to read that you were comfortable in the suite with two families. We're happy you got to enjoy all that the resort has to offer, outdoor pool facilities, wood fireplace, bike rentals, and the laundry facilities. We certainly do work hard to keep the resort quiet for all of our guests to enjoy the peaceful surroundings provided by our short distance out of town. We hope to be able to welcome you back on your next trip to the Banff area.
