Had a amazing stay! Enjoyed opening my hotel room door to smell the fire from the lobby. Good parking, clean rooms. Hot tub was large to accommodate all guests. Great location. Would most defiantly stay again. Comfy beds, rooms average size.

Really nice hotel, good location, about a ten minute walk to the centre of Banff, the reception has free bus tokens, so you take a card and can get the bus into the centre or up to the springs too! Nice spa area with a huge hot tub and steam room.
The room was a good size. There was ample underground parking. Ski lockers with padlocks available from reception.
The ski bus (the bus to sunshine village and lake Louise) stops right outside the hotel! And it's one of the first stops so always space!
Would definitely stay again.

The room was depressing . Perhaps we just got a very small and dark room, but I was very dissatisfied! The hotel could do with some updates! The hot pool is okay, and having the Keg restaurant is convenient! I would not go back to this hotel! You get what you pay for!

We stayed 9 nights in December and enjoyed every one of them. The hotel has a very nice feel to it with open fires in the foyer and bar with a lot of woodwork. Our room was spacious enough for the three of us to live in and quite comfortable. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, and supplied us complimentary bus cards that we could use on the local bus that takes you in and out of town, even up to Tunnel Mountain, and the Fairmont. Would not hesitate to stay here on our next trip to Banff, thank you everyone at Caribou Lodge.

Arrived quite tired after the flight, but relaxed almost at once. Hotel is very comfortable, staff attentive and knowledgeable, practical sized rooms, dining great, pool area and spa very nice and clean. I didn't avail myself of the massage etc facilities, as I was too busy exploring Banff, which was only a 10 minute walk away. Some people may find the walk a bit tiring, but the bus stops just next to the hotel, and goes all the way up to the base of the Banff Gondola. The view from the top of Sulphur Mountain was spectacular, even in the rain. Worth a visit, even if only a stop-over, as my stay was.

After travelling for 12 hours through BC we finally arrived at the Banff Caribou Lodge, dog-tired and looking forward to a peaceful night. The room we'd booked looked wonderful. We'd stayed here before and really liked it. I noticed that when I leaned against the bed--and I am not a heavy person--I heard a squeak. At first I thought it was noise from elsewhere in the room, but, on investigating found that anytime the bed was touched in even the tiniest way, it squeaked. Ditto for sitting on it or lying on it. The front desk--really nice and helpful staff, by the way--told us they'd find us another room. We were told by the person at the front desk that he'd tried several other rooms and the beds were squeaky in all of them and it just seemed to be the way the hotel's beds are! We were finally moved to a room with two doubles and one of the beds was fine (the other was squeaky too!). So if you don't mind a squeaky bed, this is a lovely hotel, great staff, nice amenities. But if you want a good night's rest you might not be so lucky. Frankly, for me the most important aspects of a hotel stay are a nice, comfortable bed and quiet. Having to repack and move a couple of hours after arriving at a hotel because of a squeaky bed just doesn't do it for me.

Great staff - very friendly, professional and accommodating. I had a problem with a party in the hallway and the front desk had someone up in 2 minutes and everything was quiet soon after. The only problem I have with this hotel is that noise from the hallway is really not blocked out at all by the room door. There might as well not be a door. Other than that "minor" problem, the room is above average. Very clean and spacious. The underground parking won't work for you if your vehicle needs 6'6" clearance - which is too bad for full sized SUVs. It is great having the Keg in the hotel. They have a very large hot tub downstairs. Small exercise room. Overall a decent place to stay if you don't wake up easily with people talking and running down the hall. Wifi is ok - not good speed for streaming. They do have good t.v. channels.
