Arrived here on 2nd August 2011 for a 4 night stay. Finding the B&B was easy and location fantastic. We were welcomed by Missy who worked part time. She gave us a tour including lots of information which was both interesting and informative. Parking is round the back of the property with easy access.
Room (Rundle) was spacious and comfortable with excellent decor. Bathroom was also spacious, clean and well stocked. Only problem was that in warm weather you have to have the windows open which is rather noisy from both skateboarders and the regular night trains.
Breakfast is continental with a different hot item every day. When all guests turn up at the same time it is a little crowded. Everyone that we spoke to were very friendly and we all swapped tales and tips of our travels over breakfast. Complimentary Tea & Coffee was available for all guests to share on the upstairs landing.
Internet wifi is free with a good connection. The B&B is 2 minute walk to town and about the same to Bow River with a fantastic view of Cascade Mountain down Muskrat Street.

Room Tip: There are 3 upstairs rooms and 1 downstairs. Having viewed the upstairs rooms, in our opinion, the Rundle Room is the most spacious.

The room was immaculate. There were nice decorating touches. We especially loved the King Size bed. The location was very close to the main street so that walking to shopping and restaurants was easy. Lynn provided us with an excellent home cooked breakfast each morning.

we stayed here for two nights in July, breakfasts were great, the owners very helpful with places to see. the room was very comfortable and clean and there was even parking available behind the house, off of the street. it was also only a 5 minute walk to shopping on Banff avenue, which my wife loved. lol when we go to Banff again, we wouldn't hesitate in staying here.

We enjoyed our stay here, in the clean, spacious and quiet Buffalo Mountain Room. The bed was luxuriously comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious. The Mountain Home B&B is a very easy walk to everything in beautiful Banff. We would definitely go back!

Just returned from a week in the Canadian Rockies. Spent two nights at the Mountain Home Bed & Breakfast in Banff. Owners Lynne & Ecki Treutler were very cordial. On the morning we were heading to Jasper Ecki gave us a map of the Icefields Parkway and pointed out all the stops we should make. We would have missed many wonderful sights if not for his help. The breakfasts were excellent. Both mornings there was a large bowl of cut fruit and two yogurt toppings. Three choices of cereal. The first morning we had large waffles with a strawberry topping. The next morning we had the best blueberry panckes we have ever eaten along with homemade bannana bread. The young lady who served us the second morning was extremely friendly.

The rooms are large and airy. The whole house is immaculate . You could see your face in the tiles. The best part was the location, location, location. Only two blocks from the main drag with all the stores and restaurants. Plenty of on street parking or if you prefer, there are spots behind the house.

The Mountain Home B&B is an excellent place to stay when you are in Banff at a reasonable price.
