A little like Hostel environment; very nice, warm friendly personnel. A large variety of good breakfast foods Comfortable dining and great rooms. Four of us spent 4 nights and loved it.

The Pension is located about half a mile from the center of Banff, along a rather scruffy road across the river. The rooms are perfectly adequate (though our bathroom was tiny), the staff are helpful, and the breakfast is very ordinary. There are no views, and isn't that why one goes to Banff? I have no specific complaints, other than the price which is very high for what you get. On the other hand I can find nothing to enthuse about. The other accommodations at similar prices that we experienced during our five days in Banff/Lake Louise/Jasper were markedly better.

Our accommodation was excellent, as was breakfast. Very quiet location close to downtown along side river.

We had advised hosts that we were arriving on Rocky Mountaineer. They came to collect us at station. Train was 2 hours late, I had made reservation for a meal at a restaurant in Banff for which we were very late. Our host phoned the restaurant explained our situation and the restaurant stayed open to serve us. Superb service from Bannf Boutique. Highly recommended

Room Tip: Have upstairs room on front if possible

We spent 4 nights at Banff Boutique Inn - Pension Tannenhof. The room was really nice and spacious. We had share bathroom. Both room and bathroos were really clean. The breakfast was good, with bread, homemade granola, fruit. It was a pity that bread and bagels were not fresh but from the supermarket.
The pension is really close to the city center, in a quite area of banff close to the river.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed a week and the Banff Boutique Inn and only wish we could have stayed longer!!!! It was an amazing start to our trip in Canada. The boutique itself was delightful, decorated to a high standard and very chic. Our room was a great size, cleaned ever day, and we were given fresh towels every day also! The breakfast was fantastic... you should definitely try the homemade gronola- delicious!! The inn is about 5 mins walk into town, on a nice quiet street so you are away from all the hustle and bustle of town. The service and the staff were second to none.... AMAZING!! Thank you to Lee and Becky for making us feel so welcome and to all the staff for giving us great local information and making us feel more than just guests.
This has to be THE BEST place to stay when visiting Banff!!!!

We stayed at this place for 2 nights at the start of September. Overall the B&B / inn? was decent, though still quite expensive (understandably though its in Banff).
The first night we were downstairs in a room right under the breakfast room - super noisy. The shower was also very hard to get right temperature control. It also got musty and hot at night. We asked to be moved to a second room which was better - main floor, with windows and minimal noise, but a shared bathroom. Without being too critical I will stay we had a good time and the location is good however they should stay away from no name brand orange juice and provide something hot for breakfast given the price!

There is nothing bad to say about this place. Right from the moment we entered we were given great service; we were greeted warmly, our luggage was taken to the room, and we received a tour of the hotel, all within 10 minutes, which was great because we wanted to make the most of our brief stay. The rooms were clean and tastefully furnished, the beds were big and comfortable, and our bathroom was spacious. They also had wifi, which was a nice bonus. The breakfast was pretty basic ( fresh and dried fruit, bagels, cereals, coffee and juice) but met our needs just fine. The bathrooms don't get straightened out automatically every morning but the staff is more than happy to accommodate you. We travelled by bus and they were even kind enough to drive us to the station! They seem to get regular customers, and I can see why. I'm happy to say that I will be one of them.

Room Tip: Ask for an upstairs room and if it's a few days before you plan to go, see if they have a last m...
