Had a delicious meal at the Juniper. Best steak sandwich in Canada! Had amazing service from Candice! Very friendly girl and made the experience very enjoyable!
Great bailey coffees and mimosas as well!

Stayed one night during father/son trip. I liked the location for several reasons. First, it’s conveniently located in Banff but away from the touristy areas and urban feel of the town center. It’s just in the other side of the Trans Can Hwy. Second, even though it’s right off the Hwy, the feel is very secluded and quiet. Front desk staff was very professional and helpful throughout the stay. For breakfast we tried the bistro. The food and service were excellent, and the restaurant has nice window views of the mountains across Bow river. Will come back in the future.

Surprised by the excellent reviews about this hotel, as I didn’t find it overly appealing. I paid far more here than I did at a 4 star condo in Dead Man’s Flats - which had in-room laundry, a fully stocked kitchen, etc.
The bed was comfortable but the room itself was tiny and very plain.

Room Tip: Get a room on the top floor or you’ll hear people walking

Thank you for the feedback. Pricing of accommodation does vary depending on location: hotels / condos located in Dead Man's Flats (a 25 minute drive from the Banff townsite) are typcially priced less then if you stay directly in Banff National Park.

The hotel is located almost directly off the exit on the side opposite to that leading to the town. There's a short drive from there to the entrance to the hotel and another for the restaurant on the property. The hotel entrance is covered and you can temporarily park there to check in. Hotel is but a few quick minutes to the Banff town center, shopping, and restaurants. I think it is the ideal location to avoid the VERY large number of tourists in Banff. Hotel itself is well kept. Check in was easy and quick. Attendant very friendly.

The hotel has an "artsy" look with nice little touches on way to rooms and along the halls.

Getting to room, be gentle opening the door and try not to swing the door too far. The room's interior walls are at an angle and the swing is affected by the bathroom wall. Not a big deal. Bathroom itself was well done with nice shower, comfortable towels, and plenty of amenities. Looking further into the room, we had a nice view out the window towards the town of Banff and the surrounding beauty. We also had a door leading to a deck with a couple of seats. Well done. Bed was very comfortable. Wifi coverage was good and easy to access.

I took the opportunity of going to the restaurant and bar at the western side of the main building. Nice. Supposedly the food is quite good. Had but an appetizer but everything that came by looked terrific. The bar area had a good selection of house specialty drinks; many of which read as very interesting and tasty. I ordered one and was pleasantly surprised by the artistry of the bartender. He was an Australian young man who took great pride in preparing and making sure that the cocktail was as good as it could be. Delicious... Admittedly, had a second, different drink as well. The view from the restaurant and bar areas is towards the town of Banff and the beautiful mountains surrounding the area. Very nice view. What's that saying in Real Estate? "Location, location, location."

Although the hotel is located off the north side of the highway, we were not at all aware of any car or truck that was traveling through the area. The property is located on a hill that hides view of the roadway and probably assists with the dampening of the sound as well.

We had breakfast in the hotel and it was very good. Good selection.

Overall, it was a very nice stay and a welcome opportunity to relax before the large hikes taking place.

I'll be staying here again.

I will pass on your praise to Will, the Bartender who served you. He recently won 'Banff's Best Bartender' as voted on by people in the Bow Valley! I appreciate you leaving such a detailed review of your time at the hotel and our Bistro and we look forward to seeing you again soon ~
