Place is in good location. And that is all there is positive with a very friendly staff.
Came in room and found previous occupants hairs in bathroom, shower was clogged, room had probably not been cleaned. Towels had ALL to be changed. Room was never cleaned during stay.
Hotel facilities are worn out, not maintained.
All of that for a convenient 150+ CAD/night.
Not recommended at all!

Uncomfortable bed & pillows, a stifling hot room (even with the windows open & fan going - there is no aircon), stains on the bathroom floor (looked like either blood or nail polish), a flimsy door lock (someone entered while we were out) and an extremely long wait to check in and check out (with rude staff) cancelled out any apparent "bargain" in staying at the Bumpers Inn. Next time will pay more and stay at a different Banff hotel.

If you are looking for amenities (i.e. air conditioning, iron, ironing board) this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a clean hotel and a place to lay your head to rest, then you'll be fine. Lite on amenities and flare, but a good place to just sleep and get ready for the day ahead.

Love the location; right off Banff Ave; far enough from the hustle and bustle of downtown but close enough to walk to. Quiet, two-storey hotel on the edge of the woods with a patio and several Adirondack lawn chairs in the central area to rest your bones after a tiring day of sightseeing. Totally woodsy with pine trees everywhere. Large rooms are very comfortable and clean with mini fridge and coffee maker. Plenty of free parking at the door. Def recommend.

Comfortable beds, clean and special program... if you elect to "go green", putting a sign on the door that fresh towels etc. are not needed, you receive a meal discount at their restaurant, and the meals and service are excellent.
Patios between buildings in park like setting.

I can't say that it was worth the money, because we booked a last minute summer weekend trip and that's the price you pay. Comfortable room, with lots of extras included. I especially liked the Rock Mountain Soap Company products in the bathroom. Wish I'd packed a swimsuit, since apparently the hot tub has an excellent mountain view.

Check in was across the street in a different building since their lobby is under renovation, but overall was smooth. The room we stayed at was well-kept and comfortable for our evening there. The roof is slanted high-ceiling with wood finish, so it felt like we were in a cabin which was cool. Free wifi, but no breakfast. Overall for our stay, the inn served its purpose and we had a good night's sleep.

Room Tip: All rooms have a balcony that open inward to a courtyard
