A very well-thought out hotel. Very convenient, with gorgeous views from the balconies. Absolutely breathtaking location. The best part was the cave/spa/hot-tub. Very relaxing and has a hidden sauna! The food was excellent, and reasonably priced. The room we had was quite nice, with a massive bathroom, which is always a nice touch. Really enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Rooms on second floor have better views.

This hotel is a great choice, the room are great, we stayed in the superior one bedroom suite and the views were great, room was very clean, had an excellent sleep as the bed was SO comfy. The continental breakfast they serve in the Chili's Restaurant is quite impressive for a continental as there were a lot of great and healthy choices. Staff was very helpful in letting us know of the sights around town. The hot pool is so relaxing after a day of walking around town. Looking forward to returning in the spring for our annual trip to Banff.

Pros- room was spacious and clean. Hot tub caves were cool to experience once. free underground parking.
cons- internet is terrible, they only have one elevator which is very slow. You can take the stairs outside, which we did. The heat in the room cant go any lower then 21. you have to turn it off once the room gets to hot. Then the air automatically comes on every 10 min. Very annoying when you are sleeping.

This hotel has an interesting set up, very nice to go to in winter. The room is pretty tight for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. The hotel has a cabin feel. Restaurant downstairs was great. High light of our stay here was the hot tub downstairs. The only thing with using the hot tub, you have to go outdoors toget to the the hot tub, hard if you have little ones. The hotel lobyy was also pretty tight, the hotel has a crowded feel all together, hard to navigate a full size stroller inside. Parking was ok. A bit of a walk to the main strip of Banff. The hotel is well maintained. With suit a romantic kinda get a way for 2 better than a family get away.

I absolutely loved the Fox. I stayed in a double bed room, which was small for three people with ski gear and bags, but it was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of storage space (closets, shelves, drawers). The staff was incredibly accomodating and friendly. When asked for additional soaps and shampoos, they provided a weeks worth in a fancy display. The breakfast is great with plenty of options each day. The hot tub alone is enough to draw me back. I was skeptical because it wasn't outside...but it was the most unique hot tub in a hotel I've ever stayed at. I actually preferred our "grotto", as we named it, to the Banff Upper Hot Springs because of comfort and ambiance (though Banff Upper is still a must). I'd go back in a heartbeat.
