If you are reading this you have likely already seen pictures of the hot tub, Its even more amazing than the photos. With the open air ceiling and secluded areas you can relax with a cool breeze while not starting at other guests across from you.

Parking downstairs was excellent, Distance to the main shopping areas was manageable but a bit of a hike if the weather was super cold. There is a bus stop immediately outside the hotel doors however.

The layout of the hotel is amazing, all rooms enter from outside but in a courtyard style.

For the price I expected a bit more luxury in the rooms Eg. Larger towels and bath robes but... it's Banff so for $400.00 you get a hotel that would be $200.00 anywhere else.

Lastly the fireplaces are gas, Some photos show wood fireplaces but I believe they have all been replaced.

A great romantic hotel with a true Banff feel from the outside of the hotel to the inside of the rooms.

Room Tip: Splurge and get the suite with the loft.

The staff was friendly and hotel lobby is very nice. Breakfast restaurant staff was very attentive. The room was probably the smallest room we have ever stayed in. The closet door hit the bed when opened and two people could not pass each other in the room and the blinds on the windows did not work well at all.
The hot tub is amazing and the reason that brought us to the hotel, but the room is the reason we won't be back. For the price not worth it, cheaper hotels in Banff offer much better rooms than these.

Good modern well sized rooms and friendly professional front desk. Good WiFi and underground parking. Nice bar and good dining with easy access to other local eateries and to the town of Banff. Bus available from the front door to the ski slopes.

Came from Norway to ski the Big3, 6 of 8 days. We were 6 person sharing 2 bedroom Suites each with 2 double beds. We also shared a livingroom/kitchen. Altogether this was a perfect solution for our needs. The breakfast was sufficient to get a good start of the day. After long days on ski it was convenient to eat at their Chillies restaurant, 5 out 8 days. The menu had a lot of good choices. The personnel were very pleasant and helpful. The hot tub were also good place to spend half an hour after a day outside. I can really recommend The Fox.

This is a great hotel for a ski trip. Walkable to everything in Banff. The complimentary continental breakfast is fantastic, good coffee! The grotto and sauna are perfect after skiing all day and clean. The beds are comfortable and the lavendar soap is a nice touch. Overall, this was a great place to stay. Customer service and amenities (including complimentary bus passes) were exceptional. Not to mention the people in Banff are generally polite and wonderful people.
