“Comfortable/small.”
Reviewed 17 February 2012

Rolled up here after our first day boarding at Lake Louise, having just booked the place that morning. Huge reception area, all wood and lodge-like, it did the job for us. Rooms were smallish, but for a place to crash before our onward journey, was perfectly acceptable. Great hot tub to soothe those first-day aching muscles too, and a great breakfast the next morning (for an extra charge).

We stayed for a week with another family - 17 of us in total. 2 lofts and 2 junior suites in building 3 anda mixture of skiers and non skiers. Staff were very friendly on arrival. Room staff were very helpful and rooms were cleaned daily and coffee etc replaced. I was impressed that they asked what time we wanted the room cleaned as we had babies sleeping during the morning and they were willing to fit in with us.

The only downside for us was the lack of kitchen equipment and somewhere to sit to eat other than the sofa and a small circular table with 2 armchairs - not ideal for a loft with 4 adults and 2 small children, or the for other loft with 6 adults. We did manage to borrow a chair from the restaurant for the baby to sit on and used our harness. They don't have high chairs on site apparently. Not really set up for self catering on a regular basis we didn't feel. Only the younger adults ate in the hotel so I can't really comment on that, but they said the pizzas were good.

In this building the rooms are a bit dated and tired but perfect for what we needed.

You can hear plumbing noises from other apartments but other than that very quiet.

They allowed a slightly later check out which was great - it meant we didn't have to clutter the lobby with all the kit and people while waiting for the bus.

We were surprised with the free internet connection - an added bonus.

Beautiful location and a good place to stay. Lake Louise is very expensive both to buy food and to eat out so come prepared!

We hadn't realised that each car would have to buy an annual pass which was $130+ to drive into the park from the airport and stay for a week which was a shock. There is not a lot to do for non skiers without a car.

Lake Louise is a great backdrop to anything you have to do, but I really enjoyed my stay at the Lake Louise Inn!

I arrived late in the evening and was greeted with a huge smile and my room was perfect when I check into it. The bed was comfortable and I was able to get a great sleep! I didn't make much use of the room but it had a huge tub.

The team at the property was very friendly and down to earth. Everyone was full of smiles and seemed to be in a great mood.

I ate in the restaurant for lunch the next day and the food was great. Overall, a great stay and would recommend anyone to stay there.

Room Tip: Ask for the room on the corner with the huge tub.

Room was comfortable and well stocked in the bathroom. Helpful front desk folks. The breakfast buffet was awkwardly laid out and nothing to write home about. We discovered the hostel across the street for lunch and dinner and ended up going there three or four times. It's a great little place.

I had a 3 night stay here and it was excellent, it started with a room upgrade from the basic room to a queen which was excellent. The rooms were clean and comfortable with good facilities and the staff were very helpful. There are plenty of rooms to choose from in this place from a basic room to something with 2 bedrooms, a fireplace and a kitchen which i stayed in 10 years ago and was also fantastic. They have a huge indoor pool, spa and sauna which are sooo great after a long day of skiing. The timberwoolf restaurant has great food, especially their pizza's. The bar downstairs is great also i had their chick-inn sandwich which is one of the best sandwiches i've had in a long time. The hot chocolate and baileys is great too!
I was there the last weekend of January and this is the time that they have ice sculptures, the competitions and carving are the second last weekend in January and i would book your trip around these dates if you are planning a trip for next year.
Overall i had a fantastic stay here and will be going back in a few weeks and many times again after that! There is also a bus that runs every half hour from the hotel to the ski hill which made life very easy rather than finding parking at the ski hill, especially on saturday an sunday.

Room Tip: If you are an early sleeper don't get a room that overlooks the pool. Even though it closes at 1...

I spent a few days here at this hotel on a cross country ski trip and was pleasantly surprised. Our rooms were ready when we arrived at noon. Our room was spacious and clean with two queen beds. Staff was very happy to bring us robes. A tip: try to get a room in the main building as all the facilities are there: swimming pool, steam room and hot tubs - that way you can access them easily and not have to walk outside from the other buildings. Internet is free. Breakfast was good value: a continental that included porridge and waffles as well as fruits and cheese selection and various breads and pastries and coffee! While this place is not of the same category as The Post, it offers good value and is a decent place to stay.
