Honestly, for what we paid, I expected way more. As I work for a competitor, I sincerely expected a very different experience. I paid 1800 CAD for two nights and two dinners and the only really nice thing was the upgrade we got to a junior suite as honeymooners. The service was completely impersonal and unprofessional, we were not recognized as honeymooners by the staff and the same seemed completely unaware of the rules of the package we had booked (probably because they were too much engaged in managing the Brewster and Rocky Mountaineer groups inhouse). The package reported a luxury breakfast in the privacy of our room and the staff told us that we would have to pay the service charge in any case, so we ended up having breakfast in the Poppy Brasserie.
When we went to have the pre-dinner drinks included in our package, we had to wait almost an hour to get a window seat (as they are not bookable and are available also to walk-in guests) and the waiter was not sure if she could accept the voucher (figures). Furthermore the concierge told us there was a 30 CAD limit, whereas the voucher reported 20 CAD per drink, adding more confusion.
And, by the way, the package reports " All inclusions are offered per day.", but we were not given any sparkling wine/truffle and pre dinner drinks for the second day of our stay.
The only highlight of the stay was Melanie at the Walliser Stube, who really went the extra step, and the view from the room, of course.
