I stayed at the Greenwood from Feb 1 to Feb 10. I was in town for some training and was put up in the hotel for 2 weeks. My stay was comfortable with only a few complaints.

First off I found the bed very comfortable, no complaints there. The service was good and my room was clean. The in room coffee is crap so I suggest you bring your own if you really love homemade coffee in the morning...otherwise there is Rotten Ronnies and Timmy Ho's within close proximity to the hotel. There is a decent mall not far, movie theatre, restaurants, you name it, all within the area.

The only complaints about the room itself was the heat controls. I like my room at 21 degrees and I could not for the life of me get it to that temperature. It just automatically reverts back to 20, so that was quite irritating. The hotel food wasn't so spectacular, I only ate there out of convenience. I would like to give a special shout out to Ron the server in the lounge.....seems like he ran the place actually because he was everywhere! Thanks for your service Ron! During happy hour in the lounge they always had free appetizers which was a nice snack to go with the much needed beer after a long day of training.

One more complaint I have is that you could hear absolutely everything going on in the hallway. Some of the busier nights all I did was listen to doors slamming and people talking; drove me nuts! It was not like this every night and it usually quietened down after 11 pm.

Other than that the rooms were average, nothing fancy, but comfortable. The pool is small as well as the jacuzzi but they never were very busy. There is a nice little weight room with a couple treadmills, elliptical, and two exercise bikes. It was pretty decent. Oh and the room had a little beer fridge which was super convenient for a long term stay.

Overall was a decent stay. The price might be a little high for the age of the rooms and the averageness of the hotel. Could definitely use some upgrading.

Room Tip: Smoking floor smells pretty bad. If you don't mind the smokey smell not a big deal but I wouldn...

This motel could use some modernising. Room was old and furnished with old decor and had heavy perfume to hide ?? The bed was large and comfy. The front end staff were bored and seemed lethargic, at best. The property is close to Calagary International so we'd probably stay again, but you'd think for the price everything would be spot-on but ...no. I'd give it a 5 out of 10.

Having stayed here before, I was looking forward to the return visit. This time however it was not before and after a flight, but for 3 nights and days of meetings......worn rooms and spotty service made me reconsider coming again. Staff were absolutely pleasant.............the facility on the other hand, is tired. Pop machine on the floor delivered warm fluids, not chilled. Food in the restaurant is ok, not something to look forward to.
Internet was intermittant at best, pillows on the bed were way too lofty, carpets worn.

Have stayed on many occasions, and really needs some updates. Dirty towels, walls, carpets. Comforters are "bumpy" as the have been washed so many times. Looking into staying somewhere else in the area.

We booked the Greenwood for it's location (close to meetings) and our usual hotels were full. The check-in was quick & we got in the room early. The positives were a comfortable bed, coffee maker, small fridge & good lighting. What I didn't love was the stains on the curtains & the chair needed to be cleaned:( For the price we paid, the room could use updating. I can't comment on other areas of the hotel as we did not use the restaurant or pool. We asked for a late checkout & could have stayed till late afternoon for an additional charge. We have stayed @ the Executive Royal & the Days Inn airport recently & prefer either of those hotels.

Stayed several times over the last couple of years. The lounge staff is great the front desk were usually mediocre but were better this time. Faster at check inn and check out. The cost is still something i struggle with. the dont hold the corperate rate for very long. We try to have 12 or so people every 10 months or so, so I would expect the rate they set up for us. No such luck. Oh well we will be trying out another hotel next time. Still the Hotel is clean and safe with adequate staffing this time.

Room Tip: push really hard for a better rate. The catering for the conference rooms was fantastik
