We actually chose this venue for our upcoming wedding in 2020 just based on the atmosphere and accommodating attitudes of all the staff. We had yet to try the food but had heard great things. We went on a Thursday night with our parents and were blown away by the amazing food and service. We had the three course chefs taster menu for $55/pp and were not disappointed. We had a wonderful foie gras amuse Bouche, raw habanchi fish for a starter, a main of duck and a deconstructed root beer s’more for dessert. For $55 is was worth every penny. My dad has dined at some of the top restaurants in the world and was very impressed - he said that it was the best food he has had in Calgary. It was very impressive and the staff had so much time for us. I didn’t even mention that we had booked our wedding here but we were met with such warmth and even a complimentary glass of Prosecco from the events host, Becca who even had the time to show us around the place again for my parents’ sake. I would recommend - 5 star. Even more happy that we chose it now for our wedding

Last night's dinner at Workshop Kitchen and Culture was perfection. We chose the 5-course Improv for $85 per person and every dish was fabulous. There was even a teaser before the appetizers and a palette cleanser just before the main entrée. The quality of the food was wonderful and Bobby, our server, took excellent care of us all evening. We would definitely go back!

An excellent lunch option downtown - good variety, a little indulgent, and only $25 for three courses. What's not to love?

I remember the Grand theatre in the seventies. I saw taxi Driver there. There still are ruminants of the old theatre. The floor and the entry. Going there had a nostalgic glow. Until the waiter came.

What a piece of work that little mister was. I didn’t get the sense he was a waiter. I suspect elevated dishwasher. He did say the place liked to elevate foods. Oh why stop there. He was ripe in condescension.

The food was mediocre to bland except the beef tartare. Felt like Elevated food from Denny’s. we were interested in shared plates. The first two were beef tartare and pork cheeks. The pork cheeks was reminiscent of baked ham, tasteless sauce and a greasy fried egg on top. The waiter was quick to add to make sure we mixed in the egg to ensure we got the entire dish the way the cook intended. Well that didn’t make it special.

We then had roasted Brussel sprouts, broccolini, sablefish, pork belly.

Salty. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear the waiter say have some salt on your cheese you’ll like it.
Speaking of cheese the broccolini was laced with mozzarella cheese More cheese on that than most pizza joints. Psst tell the cook cheese is not a condiment!!!!!

Ok end of the night time for the bill. The waiter cleared half the table then flitted off to new arrivals. There was finally entertainment. The waiter said most people come for the Brussel sprouts. Whatttt???? Those sprouts were not special. Try the Brussel Sprouts at the market on 17 ave. Try the pork belly at CrazyWeed in Canmore but don’t go there for anything but the beef tartare he still didn’t return to clear the table. Another waitress took our info for th

Was invited to a business dinner and had never heard of the place. Located in the old Grand Theatre in downtown Calgary. They offer a blind 3 or 5 course tasting menu however we opted for the regular menu. That said we asked for a family style centre table serving and they delivered
For 5 of us they brought 2 orders of sirloin and 2 of swordfish along with one other. With several sides with each there was plenty and you could sample a little of each. Totally satisfied. Great dinner. Service was very good as well
