Convenient. Goes most places within the city and some outskirt areas. Its free in the city which is great but can get some harassers. Would be great if it could go to the airport but unfortunately it doesn't!

The Calgary Zoo has lots of parking, and it's pretty easy to get to by car. The daily cost, however, is $10, so it might be helpful to look into access options. Transit has its own Light Rail Train (LRT) station right at the Zoo - it sits on top of the north entrance / admission area. There are some issues with parking, the walk to the entrance; paying for parking, then paying to get it; or renting a car if you're visiting. The Zoo is on the Blue Line, which goes from NE Calgary to 69 Street SW Calgary via the downtown, so there are lots of other things to see on that line as well. The newer section to 69 Street has lots of bridges and tunnels, and Calgary's only underground station, so it's quite an adventure for people young and old interested in trains.

This LRT, Bus Rapid Transit and bus system is an efficient way to get around Calgary, particularly for going downtown and the Stamped grounds during the stampede. Many buses are equipped with bike racks. Bike riders may also bring their bikes on LRT trains
outside of rush hours. Depending on where one lives, or is staying, your activities and
responsibilities, you may not need to own or rent a car. Buses are almost always on time and LRT service is quite frequent.

My husband I volunteer to usher at Theater Calgary. Riding the C-Train downtown is simpler than finding parking. We get off the train at the Center Street Platform and then have a short walk to Theater Calgary. The frequency of the trains enables us to arrive at our destination in a timely manner. The Station is large and well maintained, particularly with snow removal in the winter.

I have lived in calgary inner city for almost five years now and never been impressed. I consider it a lucky to catch a city bus on time. Usually wait over ten minutes a stop because the bus that is supposed to be in time is five minutes ahead down the road. Worst public transport system I've ever encountered for a first world country. Money is terribly managed. Not 24/7 except during stampede to accommodate out of town travellers to calgary instead of the tax paying citizens.
