This is not the hotel I normally stay in when I have meetings in North Edmonton but a client suggested it and so I booked it. The hotel looks relatively new, I'm not sure if it was recently renovated or is actually new. The room was nicely appointed. The standard amenities but with a couple of bonus items, such as a toaster and a set of dishes. I was particularly charmed by the cookies to enjoy with my evening tea. There some warning I would give to future guests. First, the hotel is right beside the Yellowhead highway and backs on to Safeway's distribution center, so bring your ear plugs, if you are sensitive to noise. Second, the room doesn't have a tub, just a shower. Also, the bedding is down/feather, so if you, like me, are allergic to these, maybe you could request alternative bedding. I just took some allergy medication and went back to sleep. Finally, I was a little concerned about the numerous signs and the contract to had to sign stating that the hotel was not responsible for the loss or damage of any of my things. It made me question how safe the hotel was. Future guest should also know that the hotel puts a hold on your credit card for double the cost of the room, which the desk clerk informed me was "in case I ordered room service". I thought this was excessive.
