Booked one night. The location was great. I had heeded the warning about staying on the "Yellowhead" side of the hotel, and as a result, I had a quiet and restful sleep. The room and lobby were recently renovated and clean. I liked the extra amenities of the room such as kettle, toaster, extra dishes, cutlery, fridge and microwave. Great bedding, plenty of room in the king suite.

Great hotel in a business area and good access to Yellowhead Trail to travel in Edmonton. Reasonable room rates and very clean rooms with excellent and pleasant staff to deal with. Breakfast buffet offered a number of choices

Came into town, had booked a room, but an Expedia error had pushed it a week out. Front desk girl was fantastic, said she'd just had a cancellation and got us a room rather than sending us looking elsewhwre, even though they were booked solid for the weekend.
Room was spacious, all the amenities we needed, great soaps and shampoos in the bathroom.
Went to the lounge for dinner and were sorely disappointed. Two servers working in the lounge and while the one girl was very busy, the other was content to stand and watch her co-worker struggle while doing nothing to help her.
The service was awful, food was cold.

As others mentioned, we found the wi-fi to be very sketchy, one minute you had signal, the next you didn't.

Dear DonNJane,
Thank you for taking the time to post your review. It is great to hear your comments about the front desk. And thank you for speaking with me about your experience in our lounge. This is definitely not the experience we are proud to offer and will certainly be addressing the issue. Hopefully we will see you back soon.
Warm regards,

This is not the hotel I normally stay in when I have meetings in North Edmonton but a client suggested it and so I booked it. The hotel looks relatively new, I'm not sure if it was recently renovated or is actually new. The room was nicely appointed. The standard amenities but with a couple of bonus items, such as a toaster and a set of dishes. I was particularly charmed by the cookies to enjoy with my evening tea. There some warning I would give to future guests. First, the hotel is right beside the Yellowhead highway and backs on to Safeway's distribution center, so bring your ear plugs, if you are sensitive to noise. Second, the room doesn't have a tub, just a shower. Also, the bedding is down/feather, so if you, like me, are allergic to these, maybe you could request alternative bedding. I just took some allergy medication and went back to sleep. Finally, I was a little concerned about the numerous signs and the contract to had to sign stating that the hotel was not responsible for the loss or damage of any of my things. It made me question how safe the hotel was. Future guest should also know that the hotel puts a hold on your credit card for double the cost of the room, which the desk clerk informed me was "in case I ordered room service". I thought this was excessive.

We stayed here for three nights and found it to be a clean and newer hotel. We were a bit worried about the location being just off the main road but it was actually quite convenient. While the staff was nice enough, I was a bit put off by the response to a problem we had. The wifi would not work in our room so our daughter had to sit on the floor by the door to watch her ipad. The response of the staff was that ‘the hotel was fully booked so that is probably why the wifi wasn’t working in my room’. It worked great in the hallway and on the floor by the door, just not in my room. Other than that we thought it was a nice hotel that was close enough to most attractions. A more detailed review is below:

Location – not super close to downtown but close to other attractions, like West Ed Mall.

Amenities – not much for walking in the area, except a hunting/camping store, but there were a lot of amenities close by with a car. They hotel also has a restaurant and pub (which we did not try). Note…there is no swimming pool, but there is a gym. They do have wifi but see my note above…it didn’t work for us.

Staff – friendly enough on check in but seemed a bit put off when I brought a question/concern to them and offered very little in options for me, just excuses.

Room – great size and fairly clean. The room had a fridge and microwave, along with coffee maker. They also included dishes which was a great touch that we thought was very useful.

Thanks for reading...hoped it helps...safe travels
