“This is good pizza”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 February 2012

This has got to be one of the best pizza places going. We have been at every franchise in edmonton and they have all been consistently good. We even got to the WEM one on opening day. They thouroly messed up the bill, but they were honest about it and the food was excellent. That goes a long way to figuring out what the bill was supped to be. Fun and friendly staff and managers make this a top pick when ever we are in Edmonton. And they get their bills right now.

“Amazing”

Best pizza I've ever had! Crust is thin, chewy, amazing, with delicious mild tasting sauce and awesome fresh toppings. Try the Palermo and nutella pizza if you go!

“Tasty”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 February 2012

You probably know that by Neapolitan, they don't mean "deep deep deep dish pizza" or "meat lovers 3-meat specials", what you're getting is an fire-roasted thin-crusted pizza with Authentically inspired toppings. If you're looking for crazy bread or ranch dippers, try somewhere else.

“This is Neapolitan Pizza”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 February 2012

I read some of the reviews that were disappointed with Famosa, such as the suggestion to go to Tony's Pizza. I'm getting that Famosa is not to everyone's taste as most people have been reared on what passes for pizza in Edmonton. I've eaten pizza in Naples and, yes, Famosa is a Neopolitan pizza and is good by those standards. It's not the thick crusted, 10 items piled on with 2 inches of processed mozzarella, baked pizza, such as Tony's - which is not a bad pizza of its type, just not a Neopolitan pizza. Neopolitan pizza has a different sauce (its thinner or just oil), less items on top, uses a different dough which is fired quickly in the type of oven Famosa has. Sort of the difference between those who like Molson canadian and those who prefer craft beer - they're not the same drink. For a Neoplitan pizza Famosa works.
