My husband and I stayed here for two nights. It is set about a mile from the town, but there are walking trails into town and along the railroad track. We walked the mile into town each morning for breakfast. The staff was helpful and provided a daily newspaper. We had our own bungalow and the front door was at the back of the house, so it was very private. It was rustic, clean, and peaceful. The cabin had a little fridge and an electric fireplace. Bring your mosquito repellent for the evenings. The property has benches right by a big river. We wold definitely stay here again.

We liked Pine Bungalows, but there were a few things we found hard to love. First, we were in one of the only bungalows that has not yet been refurbished. I'm sure that accounts for why it was a bit run-down and shabby inside. It was clean, but old. But what really bothered us most was lack of air-conditioning. We didn't expect it to be so warm, and the cabin we were in got direct sun, with no shade at all, from Noon until well after 11:00 in the evening when the sun finally went down. We found it was too warm to be in the the rooms or even on the porch from about 2:00 pm until after 9:00 pm, so we weren't able to take naps, sit and read, or even just listen to music and chill out. It really took the shine off of our whole vacation. I think the new units have a/c; we wouldn't consider returning without that.

Room Tip: Ask for a cabin with some shade and/or air conditioning. Also, ask for view of river.

My family and I had a great stay at the Pine Bungalows last week. Our cabin was clean, spacious and well-maintained. The location was perfect: minutes from downtown Jasper yet quite and peaceful with a river and trees in our back yard. I loved that there was no TV which let us all come together, talk, and enjoy each other's company. All the staff we came in contact with were polite and helpful, and I liked that the owner makes rounds at the end of the day to check in with guests to ensure their needs are met. I strongly recommend the Pine Bungalows for anyone looking to vacation in the Jasper area.

Room Tip: Try to get a cabin along the river.

We stayed in number 24 which is one of the new river front cabins. It was really clean and although it was new it had a really authentic feel as they have kept elements from the old cabins such as the mirror and doors. We loved the way it was decorated in keeping with an original log cabin style, nothing fancy but really comfortable and the bathroom also newly fitted out with heated floor. We didn't cook dinners, we only really used the kitchen for breakfasts so it was fine, possibly might have struggled to cook anything very elaborate. Also liked the outside area and appreciated the rustic look rather than the manicured grounds that lots of other cabins/bungalows offer. There are also plenty of benches to sit along the river if you don't have a river front cabin. We would have normally not minded the 25 mins walk into town and would have done this but most of the surrounding paths were closed during our visit (mid June) due to elk calving. This was our only disappointment really as we couldn't walk the riverside path either as it was closed either side of the resort and certainly didn't want to risk disobeying the signs as the Elk looked very fierce! we got a taxi in and out of town one night for dinner but drove everywhere the rest of the time. You can't have everything and for us the remote riverside location and rustic feel of our cabin more than made up for the distance from the centre of town. The same goes for the price, we could have stayed in a cheaper B&B in town but this is much more of an experience. Would definitely stay again if we had the chance.

Room Tip: Go for the new river front cabins if you can

Pine Bungalows was average. Quite far from the town but we were offered a taxi coupon one way. Town was around 20 minutes walk. Room was as expected. No wifi available in cabins. There was wifi in one of the meeting rooms but was locked when we needed to use wifi. Had to sit outside the room to use wifi and was very cold in the early morning. The owner was very friendly and reception were very helpful. Not worth the money we paid

The place itself was nice with spacious room and a view of the mountains. The surrounding was nice and you'll be able to see some animals roaming around. However, to get to downtown, you need to drive as it will take quite long to walk. Overall, a good place for an overnight stay with your own vehicle.
