“Been skiing here for 50 years and love it every time!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 April 2013

Marmot has grown over the years from a tiny local ski hill to a large ski resort with many high speed lifts. And it still keeps its unique charm. There is a good variety of runs with areas to please absolutely everyone. The only complaint now is that we get worn out skiing since there are no lift lines, so no time to rest. The two chalets provide tasty comfort food and a variety of beverages.

“Awesome spring skiing!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 April 2013

Skied Marmot on Tuesday April 2; beautiful sunny day and awesome conditions for this time of year. There were no line ups for the lifts and every run was pure pleasure. I am disappointed we did not spend more time as we left here to head to Kimberly Mountain Resort where the snow had taken a terrible beating.

“Great Area”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 April 2013

Marmot is not just great for skiing, but the view is absolutely breathtaking.
The food is very, very good with is not necessarily standard at some ski area's.
When in Jasper do not miss Marmot Basin, it's only minutes from the town of Jasper

“Great family ski resort”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 April 2013

Marmot is a great resort for families and all levels of skier. There are lots of green runs at the bottom that are great for beginners and a variety of terrain on the rest of the mountain to satisfy any level of skier or snowboarder. The lift lines were very short and most of the lifts we used were high speed quads. I did get some attitude from one of the girls at the ticket window but I see that as an aberation.

“Two day trip March 2013”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 March 2013

Spent two days with my family at Marmot. It could not have been better. So far this year we have skied and snowboarded at Louise, Sunshine, Norquay and now Marmot and we all picked Marmot as our favourite The kids an d I are intermediate to advanced and we found lots of runs to challenge us, plus lots of green runs to perfect our turns on. The kids were in the trees and moguls all day.
My wife is less advanced and really enjoyed the School House lift and the beginner hill. I would have to say that the beginner hill is the best I have ever seen anywhere!! If you are looking for a place to learn to ski or snowboard this is an ideal place. It is an area set off to the right with its own chair lift and is cordoned off for slow skiers (or snow boarders) only. This gives beginners a chance to learn in a safe run, without having skiers or snowboarders whizzing past them. The run is long enough that beginners can get in lots of turns and perfect their technique. They do not spend the whole day trying to figure out the lift. The chair is a slow moving double, so it is not intimidating as the big quads. We were there during spring break and the lineup was nonexistent.
Another pleasant surprise was the reasonable price for food on the hill!! $4.75 for a big slice of pizza. Pop was $3.00. I found it not worthwhile to pack a lunch of our own for the second day.
