“Nothing beats Marmot!!!”

My family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers love skiing at Marmot Basin and go a couple times a year. There is skiing for all levels and there is every kind of terrain and runs to suit everyone. My daughter and I love to ski "the Knob" and my son and husband love the runs off the "Eagle Ridge Chair." Marmot is less busy than many resorts because there is lots of room for skiers and snowboarders to spread out and the snow conditions are always good to fabulous. The lift operators are friendly and everyone is having a great time. When I ski at other resorts, it reminds me of just how awesome Marmot is.

“Great Family Ski Trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2014

We went to Marmot Basin for our family Christmas trip - and it was wonderful. Perfect powder, variety of slopes for every level of skier or boarder, ski instruction for every level, ski school for kiddos, and best of all - not crowded & short lift lines compared to US resorts on Christmas/New Year holiday break. Be sure & check their website for discounts and deals.

Marmot Basin is at least 4-5 hr drive from Calgary or Edmonton airports - but definitely worth the drive. There is a convenient shuttle from downtown Jasper or from some Jasper hotels to the slopes. Very little retail or restaurant options on site - but you can find good hotels, restaurants, ski & gear shops, & shopping options in Jasper. And Lake Louis & Banf are a few hours drive away if you want to experience a variety of ski ares/resorts in Alberta.

“BEST ski Trip Ever !!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 February 2014

Totally enjoyed skiing at Marmot Basin! Never had so much fun out with adult kids. We totally explored the runs and carved our own inbetween the many trees. Such fun! No line ups at the chairlifts!
This place is so under rated !!!!! Best skiing condition ever! Rentals and ticket booth staff are so friendly!!!!!!!

“Worth Every Penny!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 February 2014

First time travelling out West - travelled to Calgary for a couple days, then to Jasper for 4 days after. If you haven't seen the Rockies, it is quite a sight! We went snowboarding everyday at Marmot and it was great! After a day of fun on the hills we would hit up a restaurant and/or bar in Jasper. It was an amazing trip. Can't wait to go back again next year!

My 8 year old had a week lessons with a Spanish instructor here and loved it while I had a good time exploring and skiing.
