we stayed at the Garden room for 2 nights in July. this room had its own bathroom as well as a door for privacy and a sitting area. its located within walking distance to the main streets of Jasper. Tobi was an excellent host, offering excellent suggestions of what to go see and provided a delicious breakfast with enough left over to take with us on hikes. the TV was a little small (13") but if you're watching TV in Jasper, you really shouldn't be there in the first place. lol we weren't sure what to expect seeing as this was our first experience in B&B's but after a 2 night stay at the Glass House, we'll definately do it again and wouldn't hesitate in staying there during our next visit to Jasper. just a hint, do an evening drive on the Maligne Lake rd if you want to see lots of wildlife. ;-)

My husband and I stayed in the Solarium room. As mentioned in other reviews the room is small and the shower and toilet are inside a closet with by-pass doors. Very creative use of space! I knew what to expect since I had read the reviews, so we weren't surprised. It was a little cramped getting ready in the mornings. The attached sun porch was a nice addition and helped relieve the claustrophobic feel of the bedroom. With a little ingenuity we were able to manage just fine. Everything we needed was there, small fridge, mirror, plenty of outlets, a place to hang things, but no shampoo. The reasons I would recommend this place are: Tobi the hostess -quiet and friendly, gave us great advice on sites to see; the very filling, delicious breakfast with leftovers to take with you; and it was a good value (especially considering we didn't have to buy breakfast or lunch) in a great location.

My husband and I stayed in the downstairs room (?Garden room) for four nights in June, 2011. We absolutely loved it! The value for money was incredible (we had to double check that we had the right price), and Tobi and her mum made us feel right at home. They had lots of good advice for things to see and do in the area, and were really friendly while still allowing us our own space as guests in their house.
The breakfasts were definitely a highlight. Tobi bakes delicious pastries/muffins each morning, and they are enough to fill you up and then take the rest for lunch. I'm still having dreams about her apricot scones....!
The location is excellent, only being a few minutes walking distance from town. We loved the downstairs room, and found the "porthole window" very unique (and appreciated during the long summer hours when we went to bed early after some long days hiking).
Highly, highly recommended, and we would definitely return.

The room was a nice and cozy studio with all the facilities to make a perfect stop before going hiking around the area. There was an entry through the backyard that gave us, as a couple, the privacy that we need. Breakfast was superb (fresh fruit with yogurt, absolute tastefull home-made pastries, juices and a selection of coffee and tea) and the host were excellent.
I sincerely recommend everybody to come here and I have promised myself to come back.

Tobi is a great host, very helpful! We were recommended a walk at Opal Hills and the views were amazing, well worth the time! The B&B is in an excellent location, being only a short walk from the main street and breakfast was fab especially the take-away muffins! The only thing which let our stay down was the lack of privacy as we stayed in the Loft suite which as others have mentioned is the mezzanine level and as such, has no door to shut off from the rest of the house.

We travelled to Jasper on our honeymoon and booked the Loft Room at the Glasshouse after reading many excellent reviews. Having stayed there, we can see why people would love it - the location is perfect (a short walk to the main street), the accommodation was clean & spacious, and Tobi was welcoming & helpful. What let the Glasshouse down for us was the lack of privacy. The Loft Room is actually the Mezzanine floor, and is located at the top of the stairs off the main entrance to the house. There is no private entrance or doorway to the floor, so anybody looking up the stairs (or walking up!) could quite easily see or hear you. The bath was located next to the bed on the open-plan floor, so we didn't feel comfortable enough to use it. We felt that anything we said or any noise we made would be heard by the rest of the house.

However, this is not a reflection on Tobi at all - she could not have done more to make us feel at ease, it was simply the lack of walls and doors that put us off. (Please see picture). If you are a single traveller or with friends, this might be just what you are looking for, but as a romantic getaway we would not recommend the Loft Suite.

The Glass House is a very short walk to restaurants, shops, the information center and the train depot. We stayed in the Garden room which was small, but comfortable and came equipped with a fridge, coffe maker and tea kettle. Jill was especially welcoming and she and Tobi prepare excellent baked goods for a filling continental breakfast (they even suppy a brown bag for the extras)! They were knowlegable about birds, wildlife, nature hikes and scenic drives and happy to share with us. A great value...we'd love to stay there again.
