I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Red Deer for one night while on the south end of Red Deer for business.
Pros: ample free parking, close to the highway, close to restaurants, large suite room
Cons: general maintenance/upkeep, loud old style air conditioner, awkward bathroom/sink placement in suite, breakfast offering (half missing and the remainder inedible).
I felt valued as an hhonours member, and received an upgrade to junior suite style room. It was large but worn. There was no remote for the TV and the sink is awkwardly placed right near the bed, so not great if you have two people and value sleep etc. No safe in room. Breakfast was horrible, to be honest. So many items missing, and the rest was dismal. I ended up eating a bowl of cereal and getting more food elsewhere.
Staff were very kind and nice. Decent enough hotel if you need to be in gasoline alley.
