This place served beautiful prepared dished made with fresh ingredients from the farm in a casual and cozy environment. The creative and unique flavour profiles work perfectly and you can't find the same dishes elsewhere on Vancouver Island. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Picture yourself gazing out onto a beautiful pastoral farm. You order pizza - feather light cheese, rich sweet tomato sauce, veggies all grown within your view. You won't find a better pizza in Italy. In each soup, sauce, and entre, Alderlea's chef, Katie demonstrates the wisdom of excellent ingredients using only farm fresh produce and meats. The menu includes some comfort foods; grilled cheese, a beef burger, and veggies and rice, all elevated by Katie's masterful skills in simply elegant preparation. Locals bring grandkids, parents, and friends making the place one happy fully satisfied family. God Bless Alderlea!!

This is a restaurant that defines farm to table with its biodynamic produce and simple cooking. Soups, sausages, burgers, pizza, salads all excellent. Almost everything made from scratch. Great bread. Service is friendly and good.

i live just a couple miles up the road from Alderlea farm, I love sitting at the well worn picnic table around back looking over the cows down in the valley , while eating whatever is on the menu that day, its always something good made from local ingredients, when friends or relatives from the flat lands come to visit the island for the first time we always take them to Alderlea, it is places like this that make the Cowichan Valley so special.

We had a repeat lunch while visiting Duncan last summer. The food here was made in the moment and had a very warm and personable service by the owner of this place. I would describe the experience in this place as one of the highlights of our road trip to Vancouver Island. Highly recommended.
