We went to this restaurant because it was near our hotel. Doesn't look like much from the outside but looks are deceptive.
From the moment we stepped in the service was very good. We were shown to our table right away, our drink order taken within 2 minutes is being seated. Our waitress was very knowledgable and efficient.
We ordered the lamb curry, chicken malai tikka, lamb rogan jost, and for starters, vegetable Pakoras with tamarind chutney. All the dishes were very tasty and done perfectly to our spice preference.
The restaurant has a beautiful valley view of the Thompson river and a great ambiance. They also have outdoor deck seating which takes advantage of that expansive view.
I see they also have a lunch buffet set up for $12.99 although we were thee for dinner.
Overall, I would recommend Koh-I-Noor Indian restaurant for it's food, service and view.

One night in Kamloops while on the road - decided to stay away from standard chain restaurants and try something different. Walked into Koh-i-noon, was a little empty which made us a tad nervous. Stayed and happy we did. Food was fantastic! Got busy but the servers moved. Wonderful experience. Go there!

Loved the noontime buffet at Koh-i-noor. Each dish had a nice warm depth of flavour - distinctive, spiced but not buried in 'hot'. I appreciated the neat labeling of each dish. Koh-i-noor is the go-to-place for my friend when her son visits. Background music was soft enabling easy conversation. Service was attentive and price right.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Koh-I-Noor Restaurant. To start with, the view out the window is nice.We ordered pakoras, garlic Naan, dahl, an eggplant dish, and an okra dish along with butter chicken and rice. Everything was very tasty, fresh, and arrived quickly. We ordered a "medium" spice level and it was just right. Our server was really attentive- mind you it wasn't all that busy when we were there. This is one of the best Indian Restaurants in Kamloops. The prices seemed pretty reasonable, too, for what you get. We will definitely be back.

We went there for dinner and had the chance to go for the buffet but choose the normal menue instead. It was fabulous. There were three levels of how spicy the food could be. I took the second one and it could be still little more. Will take the third level the next time :-)
