This historic home still has an early 20th century feel - wallpaper, pelmets and original fittings, a bit like staying with your great-aunt. We were very comfortable, and as the only guests we had open access to the bathrooms. Victor is still involved in ongoing improvements, but this does not affect guests. Joyce is 'retired' now, but enjoys greeting and talking with guests and recounting her and Victor's fascinating story and their part in the town's history. There are many tiny dishes at breakfast - jams and conserves of every conceivable variety, seeds and nuts, yoghurts and fruit... but no savoury option, everything sweet.
Quiet reidential area within an easy walk to the downtown area with eateries and waterfront.

This B&B proved to be a fun and convenient stop-over in Kamloops as we travelled between Vancouver and the Rockies. Victor was an amazingly friendly and helpful host. The house is only a few blocks from the main street, eateries, and the promenade along the river.

We were surprised at how good this B&B was considering the price. It is an older home undergoing renovations, but this did not detract at all from the comfortable, spacious bedroom we had. Some quirky features and the wallpaper added to the charm of the place. Victor and Joyce were lovely hosts and Victor worked like a Trojan. We could not do justice to the vast buffet breakfast he prepared! In a quiet location a short distance from downtown Kamloops. We would have no hesitation staying here if we ever go to Kamloops again.

This B&B is conveniently located just off main st. Very reasonably priced. The building is 1900 vintage but the inside is tastefully decorated. Double queen room was very large and well appointed. We were greeted by Joyce but it is Victor that basically runs the B&B. The stories about the humongous choices for breakfast are not exaggerated. No hot choices (like eggs) except for toast and cereals. A lot to choose from with fruits, nuts, cereals, many choices of jams, etc. Very welcoming B&B and highly recommended. (Aside: The exterior is huge and nicely landscaped but at the time of writing the building was undergoing significant construction upgrading. This had no impact on our stay.)

We ran into some car trouble on our way from Vancouver to Calgary and weren't able to find an available auto motive service at the time, so we had to find accommodation for the night. We came across Joyce's Bed & Breakfast and we were able to get 2 very well kept and cozy rooms, the den and a queen room with a cot, for the 5 of us for a incredible deal. It was also our first time checking in to a B&B, so we had no idea what to expect. The owners, Victor and Joyce are knowledgable and hospitable hosts and a lovely couple with their 2 cats. They are great company and know very much about the history of Kamloops and and are so welcoming; you can tell that they love what they do. Not to mention the follow morning, that was a pleasant surprise! Victor had mentioned there would be 72 breakfast options. A various selection of fresh fruit, preserved/dry fruit, nuts, hot coffee and tea, 6 different bread spreads, 8 different cereals, and more options than I can even remember. Very healthy and nicely prepared and beautifully presented. It must have took lots of time and care, because everything was on the table when we came down at 8:30am. The garden in the back yard is peaceful and comfortable. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and comfy atmosphere with great company.
