Owner description: Whether you come for the diverse ski terrain or for the variety of summer activities, Sun Peaks is a haven for recreational fun in a three-mountain alpine area. Located in the Interior of British Columbia, Sun Peaks boasts Canada’s second largest ski area with 4,270 acres of terrain. With 6 meters of light, dry snow falling annually and over 2,000 hours of sun each year, guests enjoy spectacular winter conditions for downhill skiing, snowboarding and cross country skiing. Off the slopes, more winter adventure awaits with dog-sledding tours, snowmobile and snowshoe tours, horse-drawn carriage rides and more. Summer at Sun Peaks offers just as much recreational fun. Sun Peaks is home to BC’s highest elevation golf course. Guests can explore the alpine with lift-access hiking and world-class mountain biking trails, with opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, Segway tours and horseback riding. Sun Peaks’ vibrant European-style village is nestled at the base of Tod Mountain, Sundance and Mt. Morrisey. The village offers a wide selection of accommodations, restaurants and shopping boutiques.

“Fantabulous Skiing”
Reviewed 27 March 2012

Sun Peaks Resort offers some of the best skiing anywhere. We have skied many resorts including Whistler, many of the BC mountains and most of the resorts in Colorado and Sun Peaks is still our favorite. Especially if you consider value for money. We ski as a couple but it is a terrific family oriented mountain whith all the ski runs funnelling down to the village and activities especially for children. The runs are well maintained with regular grooming on many of the runs and good moguls on others. The interior (of BC) snow is much more reliable than snow at coastal mountains like Whistler and the costs for individual, couple or family stays are more reasonable.

Their are all types of accomodations on the mountain including hostel, hotel rooms, suites, condos and luxury homes. Their is also the option of staying in the town of Kamloops and driving up each day - about a 40 minute drive.

Sunshine, blue skies and powder snow - what more could a skier want??

“Great resort and great hill”
Reviewed 22 March 2012

Stayed for a week in in the beginning of March 2012. Village has it all and the Hill has tonnes of terrain and diversity for skiers and boarders alike (I am a snowboarder). Long travel day to get here but well with it. Would recommend this resort to anybody looking for something a little off the beaten path. All in all a great experience. Cheers.

“Excellent stay (and play) at Sun Peaks”
Reviewed 7 March 2012

Were at Sun Peaks for a combination business trip and winter getaway, and had a great time! The snow was fantastic, and the skiing was great. Lifts and runs were pretty empty - did not feel crowded at all (compared to other competing resorts). Everyone we ran into at the village was very friendly and helpful. Many good dining options, and our hotel (Delta) was very good. I would visit again!

“Flying Solo”
Reviewed 3 March 2012

Visited Sun Peaks for 1st time this winter. It's great for solos with a free ski host programme that groups like skilled skiers 2 times a day and you get to the good spots and some drinking/dining friends. All you might do is take a special host to dinner or for a drink.

And the usual friendly Canadians!
