Nice and quiet, but with some drawbacks

In booking A Vista Villa, I was looking for a place off the beaten path that was quiet, relaxing and romantic. It was very quiet as there are only 4 rooms. Relaxing was fairly easy outside in the nicely kept grounds and salt water pool. Sherry was very hospitable and made effort to provide breakfasts to fit our dietary needs. The main drawbacks for me, however, were the room decor and expected comforts. The Royal room didn't feel romantic at all though it is considered the honeymoon suite. The decor is very dated...by about 15 years. The arrangement of the room left little space to bring in luggage and then move around it. There are 'Thank you for not....' signs all over the room. Robes are provided but they feel crispy, not soft in the slightest. Same for the towels and washcloths. I was expecting more softness and luxuriousness for the price we paid and the promise of this being a romantic couples resort.

Room tip: Royal room honeymoon suite -bed was soft and comfortable, loved the electric standing heater. However, wasn't worth the extra money.

Hello lovebirds! Wow ... I am so excited to get your review this morning - it could not be more timely! Although, as you see by the other guest reviews, the majority have raved about the Villa & decor, I absolutely agree with your assessment of it being dated! I can tell you that my interior designer was ecstatic when I gave her the "go ahead" to update the suites! We have replaced the floral (romantic in it's day) and colored patterns to beautiful creams and whites! I can't wait for the Virtual Tour and Video to be live on our website in the beginning of October! Please have a look and you will see the transformation is absolutely stunning!

I also concur with the robes and linens. Crisp is definitely the word to describe 100% Cotton. We used to have "soft & fluffy" which is "synthetic polyster" and everyone seems to be moving toward 100% "natural cotton". The advantages are obvious in keeping with "green" and they do absorb the water much better after a bath or swim, BUT they aren't as soft - that's for sure.

It sounds as though I forgot to point out the luggage closet located right outside of the Royal Suite - there was no need for you to be tripping over your luggage inside your suite, I apologize for that!

All of our suites are "honeymoon suites" at our little private couples retreat, and again - you are right about the Royal being the one chosen most often! That beautiful double-wide Jacuzzi tub as well as the walk-in two-headed shower does have it's allure, that is for sure!

I can't wait for you to see our "new look", please make sure you have a peek and it would be wonderful to spoil you once again in the not too distant future! Congratulations again on your engagement and so happy you found our beautiful gardens and pool so very relaxing!

Honeymoon!

Each day we stayed at A the Villa, we had our rooms tidy up when we arrived back to our room. Such as, clean towels, clean dishes, bed was made and wine on ice. Breakfast was filling. The room was very quant and lots of privacy and spacious. The Jacuzzi was very relaxing. It was like home away from home. Along with enjoying the pool. Best of all, Sherry, the owner was remarkable and friendly, and she sure made us feel at home. The B&B is beautiful. One of our favorite moments was the Movie Room. We would defiantly come back to stay. The view is breathtaking.

Room tip: We happen to stay in The Regal!

It was an absolute pleasure to pamper you while you were on your honeymoon! Pampering couples that honor us with their reservations is what we are all about and it thrilled us to see you enjoying all of our amenities. From the private Jacuzzi in your suite to our warm salt water pool and treating you to popcorn and chocolate while you were massaged in our "Human Touch" recliners watching a movie ... we are so happy we were able to make you so happy! Absolutely perfect!!

We have been to the Villa on several different occasions, and every time our expectations were far exceeded! Sherry is a very warm and fabulous host with great attention to detail. The Villa has a very private, cozy feeling and the rooms are immaculate. Plus, Sherry's gourmet homemade meals are to die for! Cannot wait for our return!

I thank you for your kind comments about our "gourmet" meals ... we love serving our brides and grooms their first dinners together as man and wife! Kelowna's Exclusive & Private Boutique Inn - A Vista Villa"

"A Vista Villa" went above and beyond to make our stay special. It is an oasis and deserves the highest rating there is. It was our Anniversary, Our two nights stay in the Imperial Suite at A Vista Villa was beyond our expectations - our host truly made this a Pampering Getaway. The warm salt water pool was wonderful!. This is a private and quiet place to relax. Just minutes from spas, golfing, beaches & wineries. Absolutely loved our stay!

Room tip: Four rooms to choose from: Royal, Regal, Majestic and Imperial - you get to choose! They are all amazing!

Next time we will stay longer

We stayed at Vista Villa with three other couples while on a golf trip to Kelowna and we're delighted when we arrived at our beautiful accommodations. Each couple had a lovely private room with its own entrance and each room was wonderfully equipped with everything we could possibly need. When we wanted to come together as a group we could socialize in the living room area, the lounge with a gorgeous view of the city, or around the salt water pool which was where we spent most afternoons. The gardens around the pool are gorgeous and the romantic gazebo nearby is very inviting.
Our hostess was fantastic, eager to help and provide any amenity we could possibly want.

It would be absolutely wonderful for you to stay longer ... either as a couple on your own or coming back with your "golfing" and "gourmet" group!
