There are new owners at this B and B since 2016. They are trying hard. The B and B is in a difficult location, down a road near a drop off that has no railings in places. The parking requires some difficult turning around near a drop off.
We were greeted nicely and led to a very narrow, dark space between a granite wall and the garage wall. Thankfully the space did get wider. After walking around the garage, we came to a steep staircase leading down to the room. (More staircases down to boat dock and hot tub.)
The room, Madrona, has good bones with hardwood floors, a gas fireplace, and anice view of the lake. However, it is less than ideal to have a toilet situated behind a plastic accordion door in a corner of the vanity area, which offers no privacy from the bedroom. (I suggest they replace this door with two doors that meet in the middle.). There is no light in the toilet closet.
The shower has a clear glass door leading to this vanity area, also limited privacy.
After the first night, the hosts kindly removed a mattress topper from the bed that we had found too soft. That was a great improvement.
The breakfast was orange juice, yogurt, some fruit, an egg, a few slices of potato, two "hot dog" pieces wrapped in dough and a kind of " empanadas?"
Richard the chef, kindly brought our bags up the steep steps to the car in the morning. (He had previously brought them down to the room.)
Helen and Richard are very nice hosts but there are some difficulties with the physical layout of the Property.
We did use the hot tub or the boats. Lake view is lovely.
