This place is awesome for the price. The owners are a lovely couple with a shy little dog, Ginger who is all bark but no bite. The motel is very very clean, new beds, TV's, small but very comfortable. Laundry and breakfast on site. Inexpensive and centrally located. Some traffic noise but I use earplugs so not an issue. No sketchy clientele, and good Internet access. Bargain price for a great little comfortable motel. Pet friendly also. It is an older motel but you can tell they make every effort to maintain it and keep it in good shape. My only criticism would be no clock or table lamp but that is minor. Thanks guys..enjoyed my stay for 3 nights!

No real amenities but really nice and friendly service.nice and close to the ferries which is what I wanted. Clean.quiet and nicely laid out grounds. 200 characters is too much for this review but that is what trip advisor wants.

We were touring Vancouver Island and because of our FERRY ride we were late arriving to Victoria from which we went to Nanaimo. We made a double delux room reservation at this Motel earlier based upon the proximity in Nanaimo and the picture of the place shown on the internet. We were 3.5 hrs. late arriving due to heavy traffic & checked in at about 9 PM. But, alas, our room was not ready! They scrambled to clean it as we waited about 20 minutes. We've been on the road since 5 AM and as one could imagine we were really tired by the time we finally got told to occupy the room at 9:20 PM. We opened the door and there were 3 people in it. 2 women still feaverishly cleaning and a man trying to hook up an old TV. So there we stood for another 10 minutes with luggage in hand, before we could go in. When we did, all 3 of us wanted to use the bathroom and found out the bathroom floor was STILL stickey, which was absolutely disgusting. I went and talked to the manager to complain and to give us another room but that was the last one. So being so late we had no choice but to cover the floor with a big towel as we all took showers before hitting the sack. I could never go back to this place and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else either. We were lucky to have only booked one night and the next night we stayed at a real swenky, magnificent resort called "Pacific Shores", about 10 miles north of there.

There have been a lot of negative reviews about the previous managers and I want to let everyone know that the new managers are extremely kind, helpful, generous and are doing their best to renovate the motel. Mary Anne gave me a ride to the grocery store and then to a local dispensary without hesitation and expected nothing in return. We wanted to hook up our play station and they searched all over for the right cable for us. I have never seen hotel managers who actually care this much about their guests! Thank you guys very much, we had a great stay and will come back if we need a motel by the ferry!! Closest motel to the departure bay ferry too by the way.

We've stayed here a couple of times before, and it used to be pretty seedy. The price was right though! We were pleasantly surprised this time because it was freshly painted, and now has a coffee maker ect in the room. The wifi was actually pretty good! Overall, it's way nicer than it used to be. It's a quiet spot, so ok for a quick night in a humble motel. Nice Greek Restaurant is stumbling distance away which is handy. A Tim Hortons nearby.....Probably the cheapest deal available in the Nanaimo area.
