You can’t take away from the beauty of this area. Next to the parking lot there is a grassy area good for recreation or picnicking as is the mostly rocky beach.
When the tide goes out, the lagoon is a mud flat so go when the tide is high if you can so it’s more visually appealing.
Going out to the peninsula area is where things get challenging- this is the amazing part of the area that people with accessibility issues, small children and the elderly will have issues.
Keep this in mind and you will have an enjoyable visit.
Oh and on most summer days the parking lot is full so go early.
