We stayed here two nights to explore Nanaimo and the mid-Island area. The hosts Marilyn and Glenn were not only very hospitable and friendly; they were also helpful with trip planning. We were lucky to be the only guests at the time (there were 3 of us, so we selected the King room, which has a King size bed and two singles), but the amenities can easily accommodate all guests when the property is full. The property is clean, spacious, modern and elegant.
The weather was nice on the first night, so we brought a bottle of rosé to enjoy on the seaside deck. The sunset was absolutely stunning, and alone worth the trip from Vancouver! It was also peaceful and relaxing: other than the sound of small waves lapping against the shore, there was almost no noise. Around 10:15-10:30pm, when it was getting pretty dark, Glenn came down with a flashlight in case we needed it to get back up - an example of all the thoughtful little things done for guests.
The rest of our stay was also wonderful (the second night was mostly cloudy, so we came back after sunset): generous and delicious breakfasts, great hot tub, comfortable room, and such warmth from the hosts. I seldom put much weight on accommodations while traveling, but on this trip, the B&B definitely stole the show!More
