Delicious steak sandwich for lunch. Wife had a stir fry. The buildings is a little old like other reviews say but that didn't take away the food and service was good.

Headed to the Bold Knight for a later dinner after a day of boating with friends. It was the Oyster Rockefeller that really drew us there, as the men were having cravings for it! Staff was friendly and helpful, even though it was later and we were the last ones there. Soup was great, as were the coconut prawns.

Great service! This restaurant has been around forever and they don't disappoint. Seafood ravioli was fabulous, perfectly seasoned and great portions. Crab and shrimp in every bite!
Had a Bellini and it was sensational. They still put the cutie coloured plastic animal in the glass, on the mountain of slushy goodness

Usually when we want a great meal we choose the Bold Knight because it is consistently good so it meets our expecations for a higher priced but delicious meal. Last night was a special occasion so we chose higher cuts of meat with 8 oz lobster tail and prawns. The seafood chowder rates a 10/10 and the dinner salad is light, fresh and sets the tone for a heavier entree. The great cut of rib eye steak was served very rare though ordered medium rare. It was cold but seasoned perfectly. The lobster tasted like it had been left in water too long. The prawns were a terrible, mushy texture with scant seasoning. Maybe it was the quality of the prawns. Usually they are terrific. Service was excellent. Our $175 meal for two left us very disappointed.

Our friend chose Bold Knight for his birthday dinner (party of 5) for a couple reasons:
1. Food is good
2. Close to where most of us lived

Now having been here before, I knew the food was good but the restaurant needs a facelift. Be that as it may, the old girl puts out good food...maybe.

Drinks ordered, food ordered and seemed like a good night was under way. We were not loud, or out of hand but we certainly had some laughs throughout the night.

Food came...steaks cooked great BUT underseasoned, asparagus in the Neptune was way overdone, the seafood in the Oscar was bland (almost tasted cooked from frozen). I will say though...appies were good, calamari and the prawns both great.

Now here lies the problem with the evening...we paid our dinner bill and when we called our cab/designated drivers, we knew we had a bit of a wait. We opted for a round of specialty coffees...what an inconvenience (or so we were made to feel) - dear God they had to brew more coffee because they had already dumped the coffee. Keep in mind the restaurant was still "open" for another hour at this point. When we were done, we were not offered another round (what server in their right mind wouldn't want to make additionally money from a table she already made a big tip on from the first bill). The server could not get us out of that restaurant fast enough - the old "bums rush" - why? No idea - again, we were not intoxicated, rude or otherwise and she had just made a hefty tip from our dinner bill. End of night resulted in 5 Bold Knight patrons, standing outside in the rain to wait for our rides instead of enjoying another round or at the very least a warm place to sit and wait.

Hard to say if the 5 (4 of whom are in or used to be in the business) will return to the Bold Knight.
